Everything spiraled out of control.I saw my own Father flip the living room table,Marcus and Nick were neck to neck,Liam has his hands on the collar of my shirt and head-butted me.The other packs were fighting against each other too.It only took a few seconds for the women of the house to get down stairs and witness the mess.
"Okay that's it!"Mom yells.I heard her but was busy getting my ass kicked by my mates Father,talk about bonding.She grabbed the shotgun we displayed on the wall,loaded it and shot up at the ceiling.Everyone paused and looked at the 3 women now taking control of the meeting.
"Men will be men.How can we go against the most dangerous pack if we can't even get along."She paces about. "Nathaniel is out there with one of ours and one of yours."she looks at Liam who slowly let's me go .I nurse my bleeding nose and growl lightly at him.
"My daughter is not one of you.The only reason I agreed to this ludacris is because I want my daughter safe at the silver estate.With me."He walked up to Mother.Father cut him across.
"Like it's or not,she is my mate.She is part of this family even if you turned her against us.She will be-"
"I'd stop if I were you."A hunter said.He looked about my age but a lot more talkative.
"And you are?"
"Nicholas Galitzine."He responded.
"Wow,another Nicolas,this just keeps getting better."Marcus said with his eyes on Nick Radford.Nick sighs.
"It's just Nick."Kelsies eyes widen as she spotted Nick who now rubbed the back of his neck,eyes facing the floor. "Hey ugly Betty."he says shyly.
"What the fuck are you doing here!"
"Same question I asked my adviser once we set foot on this good for nothing compound."Nicholas says as he helps himself to the liquor cabinet.
Liam gives him a deadly stare.Jesus does this guy care only for himself?
"Look,if wendy is in trouble then we need to all work together,she's family as well."Will said.
Liam chuckled.
"Family,she's already family?"he inhales sharply,his blue eyes turning dark.
"My daughter is not your family.Your kind are not my family and now that that is settled,give me the whereabouts of who took my daughter and future son In law so that I can have the pleasure of skinning them."
Tristan's eyes glowed a bring yellow-darkish orange.Like Fire.
"I'm sorry come again."he growled. Kelsie sighed and walked to the middle of the room.
"Look,some of us want wendy back and some of us just want Alpha Nathaniel...under control."
"Under control?we want him dead."One of the elders from one of the packs said.Kelsie looked at Marcus who bowed his head like he didn't just hear that.
"My point is,we have a common enemy and we all need to work together.For two thousand years werewolves and hunters haven't seen eye to eye.And yes,some wolves are good and some are bad but it doesn't mean you hunters get the upper hand and hunt them down...Us down.I don't know about you guys but my priority is making sure no one else gets hurt.Both humans and Werewolves."To be honest she kinda struck some sense into me.My eyes turn to Liam who speaks.
"You haven't turned yet have you? Well,girl,when a werewolf turns for the very first time it hunts and it kills.No matter what you say,a werewolf is a werewolf."He tries to leave but a messenger comes running in.Father grabs the letter he was carrying and takes a few seconds to read.
"Alpha Nathaniel agrees he has Wendy and Andrew and he wishes to trade."He pauses. "Them for Mae."Everyone looks at the girl standing by the stair way hoping to have nothing more to do with this.What does my sister have anything to do with this?
Kelsi pov
Mae paces up and down.
"There is no way you're handing me over to that beast."she points at her brother tears in her eyes.Tristan tries to reason with her but she throws a pillow at him.
"We are not giving you to him we simply need him to think we are."
"Oh so I'm the bait now,I'd rather wendy stays there with him then.She makes a suitable mate."
"Don't be droll."he tenses up. "No harm will come to you or Wendy I swear it upon my life." He places both his hands on her shoulders.Her eyes are read as wine and her nose is puffy. "You May be irritating and sometimes I feel like biting your head off but you're my sister.I will never let anything happen to you."he hugs her.
"Look I know I haven't known you for long but wendy needs our help.Shes my best friend,my sister and I...I don't want anything bad to happen to her and knowing what I've heard about Nathaniel...he is bad news.So why don't we meet with him and see what he wants."I say and she nodes.
Tristan leaves the room and now it's just me and her.She sat by the dresser and I brushed her blonde hair.She seemed sad but who wasn't? The future Luna of this pack was held hostage by the merciless Nat and so was the other hunter.Mae signed.
"Do you think he hurt them?"she asks.I sigh and look at her in the mirror.
"I think it's possible but I know wendy is strong.She's putting up a good fight I'm sure about it."
"And the hunter,Andrew,you think he's ok." she looks up at me.Im puzzled by this question.
"I'm sure he's fine too,Marcus told me hunters are born with a special gift which makes their training easy,they are not humans nor are they like us.They keep the balance between the humans and us.Which seems fascinating because -"
"He's my mate."she says and takes a breath out.I move a few steps back and gasp.
"Mae,making such accusations can really put you in trouble with the packs and the hunters.
"I swear it.It happened on the night we went to rescue Tris,I could smell him from miles away and when I saw him dance with Wendy i...I Wanted to rip her apart.I felt anger I've never felt before."
"Maybe you saw your brothers mate dance with someone else and you were upset."
"No! Kelsi I...I was in heat."Her eyes stared into my soul.I could tell she was forcing her tears back in.This took me back to the night I met Marcus,we both had a sexual drive which felt amazing but seeing that she felt it alone might have been sad for her.Its like a one sided love.
"Mae I don't know what to say-"
"Say nothing.Im going to see Nathaniel and tell him to let Andrew and Wendy go."
"Bad idea,we first need to know what he wants.We can't just make a blind trade."
"He needs a mate."Alpha Marcus said as he walked into the room.Wendy stared at me in horror now letting go of the tears she held back.Fuck!
