Chapter 34/Black matter.

Wendy pov
I wake up to the sound of thunder.My head hurts as hell but I push the pain out of my mind.I couldn't really remember how I got where I was,wait a minute,where am I?
My eyes shot open as I examined the room I was in.It was elegant and painted in two colors only,Red velvet and black.The sheets i laid on where silk,a crystal chandelier hanging right above the bed.Right in front of me was a bath as gigantic as the room I was in itself and to my left where double doors.where in the world am I?

Just then the doors open and I came face to face with an elegant looking young man.He was about my age,jet black hair,blue eyes and he wore black from top to bottom.He kind of had that Emo look I used to have when I was in the 7th grade.His bottom lip was pierced and so was his nose.He played with the ring like it was some kind of toy.After eyeing me for some time he finally spoke.

"You're American."he folded both his hands.I frowned,how did he know that?From his accent I could point out what he's American too.

"What happened?"I tired to ignore the pain I was feeling but my mind wasn't letting me.

"Found you by the river bank and now you're here."He moved over to a wall and leaned on it."Tell me,how did you end up in the river in the first place."My mind went back to when I was running for my life,how scared I was and how alone I felt.I tried my best to hold back my tears but Mr Emo noticed.

"I don't remember."I managed to say while holding back my tears.The stranger ran his hands into his long black hair.

"I'm trying to help you out here,if they know you survived then-"

"They,you mean Tristan and his friends?"He tried by all means to brush off the fact that he knew about Tristan but I wouldn't let him.I managed to get off the bed and walked up to him."if you can help then help.He has my best friend."I don't know why I was asking him for help but something told me I could trust him.He looked at me with sympathy before looking away.

"You don't know don't you?Your friend is beyond saving."

"Wha-what do you mean?"Before he could say something the door cracked open and a man,who looked like he was in his late 40s,walked in.

"Ah,there you are young master Andrew.And I see our guest has awoken."He smiles warmly.

"What is it Agora?"

"Our troops have returned,they found one of Nathaniel's traps in our territory.This time a dozen where injured."Agora says.

"Fuck,"I hear Andrew curse."Keep her here until I get back,if she wants to move around make sure Ansel is by her side."He walks out of the room as Agora follows behind him.

"What the freak is going on!"

The sky was now clear and as the sun began to set,due to my little accident,I missed a day of being active.I stared outside the window thinking of how I allowed myself to escape without Kelsi when the door cracked open and a little boy walked in.He stared at me for a few minutes before turning his heels and running away.Wasn't that awkward.

"You must be the guest."A guy about my age walked in,he was a six foot 2 with brown hair and big brown eyes."I'm Ansel."He smiled at me.

"I'm sorry about my little brother,Jerome,he's quite a handful."he chuckled.He walked in and sat on the bed."Son of a bitch actually gave you his room."It's like he was talking to himself.woah woah woah,this is Andrews room.

"I can't blame the poor thing,he's been through a lot with his condition and all that stress.Being an Alpha is hard work."I took a step back and never took my eyes off me.Ansel have me a deadly glare and a smirk before breaking into laughter."Come on cookie it was a joke.You see this?"he points to wrist where an old watch sat."Covered in wolfsbane.No one will hurt you here."

"And where is here?"

"The land of milk and honey,we call it Canaan."

"Where's Andrew,He has some explaining to do."

"Relax,Andy will be back.And no one calls him Andrew except Agora."he chuckles.

"Well,Tell Andy that it was nice of him to save me but I'm leaving."I try to walk out but Ansel pulls me back.

"Cookie you can't leave.Andy's rules"

"Well screw Andy."I pushed him back and walked out.The house was a maze,I couldn't find the nearest exist so I kept on  wandering around.

"Look,Andy will be here shortly just relax-"

"I was a coward,and after thinking about it,I'm gonna save my best friend."

"Are you insane?"He spins me around so that I could face him.Placing both his hands on both of my shoulders,he looks me in the eye."The chances of you returning is a 0 out of a 100.You think I can just walk up to them and ask for your friend.She probably knows what they are and maybe she's one of them."I shove him away.

"If Kelsi was one of them I would have known.Im getting out of here and nothing,not even Emo Andy is gonna stop me."Ansel slowly let go of me.

"Emo Andy?"I hear a familiar voice.I turn around and came face to face with Andy and Agora.He was completely covered in mud and in his hand was a crossbow."That's a new one."Agora says.I press my lips together.

"And where do you think you're going?"Andy cocks his head to the side.

"She was gonna go back for her friend."Ansel says,what a dick.

"Look,you can't step a foot out of this territory-"

"Why can't I?"

"Because I say so and it's for your own good."

"Terrific,"I chuckle."I'm tired of everyone trying to protect me.All I want is the truth!"

"And if you have a little patience I'll fill you in on everything,Wendy."

"How do you know my name?"I clearly didn't give it to him.Hows it even possible that he knows me.He sighs heavily.

"Sir,you need to see this."A guy walked in.Andy handed him the crossbow and looked into my blue eyes.

"I'll fill you in right after this but right now I need you to go back to my room,please."

"If you dare take longer than an hour I'm out of here."

"I give you my word,Wendy."He bows and I walk out on him.

"Emo Andy."I head Agora say as he laughs along with Ansel.
