Chapter 31/Strange feelings

Kelsi pov
I wake up the following morning to the sound of the alarm.I shut it off before moving out of bed with a sheet wrapped around my body.There no words to explain what happened yesterday.I smile as I walk over to the bathroom hoping Marcus is there but no.Where is he?

I take a shower and put on some  clothes before going down stairs and meeting the rest of the pack but the house is empty.

"Hello!"I search from the Game room to the Conference room but it was empty.

Walking over to the kitchen,I hear a few voices.One was female and the other was a male voice .I'd recognize that female voice anywhere.

"Hey Kay."Wendy said as I walked into the kitchen.She sat on one of the kitchen stools eating some waffles.I didn't recognize the person she was talking to but he seemed too friendly to be talking to Wendy like that.I didn't even know if Tristan would allow that kind of interaction.

"Have you met my good friend Cal?"She says as cal gives  me a warm smile.

"I'm afraid not.Nice to meet you cal."I shake his hand.His silver eyes don't leave Wendy's for a second.yep this guy is totally dead.

"So cal was just telling me a story about Wolves.Can you believe that?"Wendy laughed and I pretended to laugh along too.

"Cal is it?Can I talk to you in private?"I grab his hand and pull him out of the room.

"What do you think you are doing?She not a wolf and she doesn't know shit about the wolf kind."I wave my hands like I'm I surrender.

"Look princess,this wasn't my idea it was Tristan's.So if you wanna yell at someone you can yell at him."He puts his hands on his hips.

"Then why are you flirting with her?"

"Flirting with her?Girl ive got a boyfriend.His name is Shawn and he works in the defense system of this pack."That's when i realized it.The dress code,the stance,the haircut.

"Oh my i'm so sorry I thought-"

"It's okay.I just have to make her see that Tristan isn't that much of an idiot,although that's going to be hard."he laughed.

"Cal is everything okay?"Wendy peeked from the kitchen door.

"Yeah everything's perfect.Kelsi just wanted to know where Marcus is."My cheeks turned red when Cal mentioned his name.I can't believe last night happened.

"Oh he said he's going hunting with Marcus Senior."Wendy smiles.

"Hey stop running around you little twerps!"Mae says as she runs after two adorable male twins."Ugh I hate babysitting."She says as she grabs them both by their hands.

"Oh hey Cal,didn't expect to see you here."She smiles him and he smiles back before replying,

"Hey Mae,I see you're still single."And then he chuckled.Mae growled at him and gave him a deadly glare.

"Okay this family is weird."Wendy says and walks away.

Cal stands and says goodbye before heading out as well.It was only Mae,I and the silence that hovered around the room.

"So...I smell his scent on you."She says and smirks.I blush at slap the back of her head."Hey,don't blame me that you gave in."She licked her bottom lip.

"Hahaha,I'm gonna take a walk."

"Don't you mean your gonna look for your mate?"She says again before heading upstairs.

The sun beams on me as I exist the pack house.Man I missed the scent of fresh air.In the distance I could see a bunch of people walking and taking.Some carrying hunted animals but I don't see Marcus.I spot Tristan with his father and walk over to them.

"Ah,Kelsi,Nice to see you getting better with each passing day."Alpha Marc says.I smile at him and thank him for his kind hospitality.He's such a generous person,Luna Will is so lucky.

"Let me guess,you're looking for Marcus?"Tristan smirks.His clothes where shredded and covered in blood,his hair was in a mess and his skin muddy.His blue eyes sparkled as he mentioned Marcus,I think that meant he knew.

"No...I just..."

"Come on you don't have to lie...I smell his scent all over you."Tristan tilted his head to the side.I blushed once more before staring at Alpa Marc who looked down and smiled.god I hate the mate bond.

"Where you with him or not?"

"Well,I was But then we lost him,I'm sure he'll be here."Alpha Marc said.I felt like Marcus was ignoring me,was he?

Just then I felt like the missing part of me just reattached to it's other half.Looking behind,I come face to face with Marcus.His hair is in a mess,he's covered in mud and his clothes are completely shredded.He looked as though he was the one being haunted with those tired eyes.His gaze now focused on my eyes and they lit up a bright brown.

"You look like shit."I laughed.Marcus pressed his lips into a straight line.

"Come here."he chased after me and when he caught me,rubbed some mud all over me.

"Get a room you two."Alpha Marc teased.Marcus smiled at me and just that beautiful smile made me feel all butterflies flapping their wings in my stomach.

We went into the pack house and I folded behind." i'm gonna go change."he said. He moved about three steps up the stair way before looking back at me."Are you coming?These clothes are not gonna wash theirselves."then headed Back upstairs.And he's back.

Immediately I was in his room and the door was shut he grabbed my waist and pressed his lips against mine.It was getting hotter with each passing second and more passionate.

"Sorry,I just really needed that."he said under panting breaths.I smiled at him.

"I thought you ran off like a sissy."I tease.

"Me?Never."He smirked and kissed me again.
