Chapter 46/Roses Are Red The valley is Blue

It was noon on a Sunday.Tension was in the air.No one was out in the fields,not a single person was in sight.Alpha Marcus put out a stay indoors order because that was the day of the trade.I stood right behind Wendy brushing her blonde hair and braiding it.I kinda felt bad for her.Making a trade to the most ruthless werewolf known in Europe and parts of America.Tonight was the blood moon,also known as the cheat moon.From the books I've read,it only happens once every 13 years and on this night,you can take in any Werewolf as a mate.I guess this was Nats plan after all.But what I didn't know was,why her?why Wendy and Andy for Mae?

"Are you going to say anything to my parents?" Her big blue eyes looked up at me.

"About what?"
"My Hunter mate."She looked back into the mirror.She was stunning,her dress was a light purple made of fine silk.Her hair was braided and decorated with daisies and on her neck laid the finest jewels I ever saw.Her belt was coated in gold and as for her Shoes,they where just plain string sandals.

"We will figure it out Mae,one thing at a time."She stood up to got to her full 5 foot 8 length.As if she was a vogue model.Pacing back and forth she said,

"Do you think he's okay? Do you think he hurt him? Do you think it's selfish to worrying about my own..."she pauses and looks around. "Mate instead of the future lunar of this pack." She whispers.

"Of course not Mae! Wendy is my best friend but I'm pretty sure if she was here,she would want you to be happy."I said even though she didn't approve of me keeping the biggest secret of my life.

"She's lucky time have you.I never had anyone.I was always too girly to run with the guys and too royal to chill with the girls.I never had real friends."She said sadly.

I look at her sympathetically. "Well you have me now.And wendy once we get get back."I wasn't one hundred percent sure our plan would work out the way we wanted it,But if there's one thing I know,good always wins.Just as Mae was about to say something than Tristan entered the room.He was dressed casually.Just a plain tee and denim bottoms and sneakers.His hair a mess and dark circles underneath his eyes.I could tell he was having a hard time sleeping.

"Okay you know what you have to do right?"He asked and Mae nodded.She looked sad and she had the right to be.She had a mate and no one even knew.
"You know I won't let anything happen to you right."He cupped her chin and made her look at him.I could see the love he had for her.Even though they fought a lot,he loved her a lot.She hugged him right and cried.

"Don't let him take me please,let's find another way."Tris let go and sighed.

"Sorry little sister.It has to be like this."And he walked away slowly fading into the dark corridor that liked Maes room to other rooms.She sobbed a little before Will walked into the room.

"It's time."

We walked to the end a valley that apparently was were all the meetings were held.The valley was sacred, so secured and known for making treaties and deals.It was the only place where no group would harm the other.The valley was lovely but Mae was the beauty in it.Although she looked sad,she looked smoking.This is a new look for her,seeing that she loved to wear buggy boyish clothes.

For the first time I met Marcs half brother.Seeing what the rest of Alpha Marcus' pack described him, he looks way different.I heard he had horns,his eyes where blood red and he looked like a cross breed of a werewolf and a human all the time.Not that I believed them but I was kinda hoping he Would look more...intimidating.But instead I'm face to face with someone who looks harmless.His six foot three eyes looked down at me as she approached me.Marcus,of course being my mate,pulled me closer to him.Nat smirked as his halve turned towards his half younger brother.
    "Good to see ya mate."he smiled.Marcus looked at him and put on a fake smile.
     "You too bother."he said.I could sense the tension In the air,I guess the feeling was mutual.Of course Nathaniel didn't come alone.He had 7 members of his pack with him and I sensed a few where hiding somewhere.

   "Now then,can we get down to business."he said. "As you know our packs haven't seen eye to eye in the last two decade.And the hunters have been all over my ass as well."he glanced at Liam who was also present. "That's why we are all here.I want to trade the hunter for peace between us."he looked at Liam. "And I want to form a union between your pack and mine."he looked at alpha Marcus.

  "Deal."Liam says and Marcus slams his hand against the table they sat at.

    "Not with my daughter!"he says.

   "Well as long as I have my daughter and future son in law I don't care if you fuck the wolf back to the Stone Age."Liam says.of course he had to be a brute.

   "I'm sure we can come to an agreement."I say but Alpha Nathaniel looks me dead in the eyes.I look at wendy who looked like she was about to cry.of course they brought her,if they didn't it would look like they were bluffing.Mae on the other hand had her eyes fixed on Andy.Her blue eyes burned into his and he frowned not knowing she was his mate.Like I said hunters are neither wolves nor are they human,They have abilities.

   "Deal if you let both of them go."Mae said as her glance turned from the hunter to Alpha Nathaniel.His eyes widened as if in aw.

   "Head strong and sassy." He moved closer to her.His eyes looked into hers and from that I could tell he was falling in love.

The cheat moon was in a few hours and the deal had to be made right about now.

    "No not until we discussed the issue."Her father said.

  "I am capable of my own decisions.And for wendy and," she paused. "Andy and peace for all the packs I'm willing to sacrifice everything."I knew she meant that for her mate as she looked into his ocean eyes.He frowned a little,almost as if he was surprised.
