Marcus pov
I lay here next to Kelsie.The Doctors come in and out and tell me the same thing."She will die."
Ever since the big incidence, I've become fond of drinking and smoking.I remember even crying one time.Ive never cared about anyone ever since the death of my father but seeing Kelsie lying here helpless makes me helpless.I should have been there on time and stoped Elijah from hurting her.Anyway he's dead now and no longer a threat to us.
I'm growing inpatient with every single day that passes by.I feel totally guilty for not keeping my promise to mother.A flashback of her smile pops up in my mind.
I go out of the room to take a smoke.I light it and put it in between my lips.Pulling in and blowing out smoke.I lean against the cold wall and watch as people I don't know pass by.
The pack house was just a few meters away from the clinic and the weapon room was next to the clinic.
"You know you shouldn't smoke."A familiar voice spoke.I turned to face Tristan who seemed to be having a bad hair day.I pulled on the cigarette and blew a cloud of smoke on his face.
"Thanks...I really want to get cancer too."He mocked,I didn't laugh or even smile.He leaned against the wall and we stood there in silence.
"I'm sorry about your mate."he broke the silence.I looked at him and he gave me an apologetic smile.
"An apology won't bring her back."I said.I threw the cigarette in the ground and crushed it."Nothing will."I say.
"You're saying it like she's already dead."
"Well what do you want me to say!"I spit."Sooner or later she's going to close her eyes for good."
Tris sighs."there's always hope."
I nod my head and live him by his self.I walk into Kelsie's room and spot Alpha Marcus talking to the doctor.
"That make a lot of sense."he says.
"Yes and there are high levels of getting her back."the doctor says and they both nod.Their gaze turn to me at the door and they get all jittery.
"What makes sense?"I ask.Marcus looks at the doctor before clearing his throat.
"Look Marc."he pauses."A wolf can be able to heal his mate."
"And you're saying this now!"I spit.
"No no listen.A marked wolf."Wow that makes sense.
"If you mark her you will be able to heal her.If she marks you,you'll be stronger."the doctor speaks up.
"So if I mark her she's not going to die?"My eyes move to Kelsie who's in a deep sleep.I wonder what she's dreaming of.
"They are high levels of that."the doctor replies.This means that I can save her.
"Do it" Jax says.
It's been a month since the war happened and I have been too eager to talk to Kelsie,to apologize and ask for her forgiveness for being such a jerk the night before she was taken away.
And I was also not ready to take her in as my Mate.Jax was But not me.I didn't want her to end up like my father one day.I was too terrified of hurting someone I cared about.Yes that's right,I cared for her,a lot.

Her eyes slowly opened and I was the first person they landed on.
"Kelsie can you see the light?"the doctor asked as he checked her eyes.She nodded and he took it away and scribbled something down."she seems fine to me."He says and walks away.Every family member was there to witness this event.,Luis ,Mae,lunar Will and Alpha Marcus.Curtis was by the door frame and Wendy was right next to me.I made Sure she knew Kelsies condition and flew her all the way here.She doesn't know what exactly happened only that she was involved in an accident.Tristan was traveling to make a review on the members of the blood line pack and set free the slaves Elijah held.
"Kay..."Wendy held her friends hand tightly.A smile was plastered on her face as tears ran down her cheeks.Kelsie on the other hand looked confused.Her hair was longer and she looked skinnier than usual.I could even see her bone frame.
"Wha-what happened."She spoke in a low voice.It was as though her throat was hurting.
"You where involved in an accident...Do you remember?"I speak.She paused for a while as though she was having a flash back.
"Elijah he-"
"Don't worry about that,He's not going to hurt you again."I speak.She let's out a deep breath and swallows hard.
"Marcus"
"Mmh"
"Thank you."she tried to smile but had some difficulties."You almost gave you own life for me."she added.
Everyone's eyes where on me.I never took my eyes off her.
"Anything for you."I replied.
"Okay we need to give these two some time alone."Will said and pushed everyone out of the room.
We were left alone in the room and It was all quiet for a while.she touched her neck and closed her eyes as though she was in pain.oh boy.
"Did you..."she narrowed her eyes at me."Nah you couldn't."She smiled at herself but then she caught her neck again and noticed the two depressions.
"Fuck!"I don't know if she said that because of the pain or because she noticed I marked her.
