We had been walking through the tunnels for what felt like hours."These run throughout the city,they are ancient."Mae says as she follows some scribbles on the walls.We finally came to an exist on a mountain or something and we could see everything."There,that's the Argent estate."She points right before the horizon.The sun was setting and we had to move quickly.
"So what will Tristan say when he-"
"He won't find out because you and I are seeing Robin Hood at a movie theater."She smirks.So sly.
Once we reached the big wooden gates of the estate,Mae stopped suddenly."This was a bad idea."She says sadly."We should go before anyone sees us."She turns around but I held her hand.
"Why don't you wait out here and I'll talk to Andy by myself.Let him know I'm ok and I choose to be with you guys."Okay I know what you're thinking.How can I choose to be with werewolves instead of my own kind?Thats one question I find hard to answer.
The gates slowly opened and Mae hid.
"Well well we'll,if it isn't Andy's girl."Nicholas said as he walks up to me with a crossbow in his hands."Don't tell me you came with one of your wolfie friends."He mocked.
"Look Nick I don't have any quarrel with you.I just want to talk to Andy."I try to get past him but he points the crossbow at my chest.Tilting his head to the side while licking his lower lip like a psychopath.
"He's not here,he left a while ago with lord Liam."He says,still not taking the bow off my chest.
"Where did they go?"I ask.Nickolas smiles devilishly.
"Why the Evens estate of course.After all they have a hunter hostage."
"No" Mae comes out from the bushes,her face dreadfully pale and her lips so dry.
Nick tried to fire an arrow at her but I grab the crossbow from him."She's with me."I say.
"We need to head back.My family,my whole pack is in grieve danger."Mae had a dreaded look on her face.
"Not so fast Woofie."He grabs her by the arm.Her eyes glow a bright yellow before she shoved him a few yards back.
"Wendy we need to go Now."I look at Nick who is now lying knocked out on the ground.It would be a bad idea to argue with her.
We are back at the house and everything is a wreck.Marcus and Ansel going head to head.Tris trying to get Andy off him as The rest of the pack build up its defenses.
All of a sudden a gun was fired and in that moment everything stood still.A tall man with black hair stood over the fire that was lit up every evening to give light to the surrounding.His eyes gazing at the uproar that was happening right in front of him.Sarcastically cocking his head to the side and taking short strides to and fro.From my gathered information,and knowing I've never seen him on the Evans estate, I knew he had some kind of authority to the hunters.This man who know forced his gaze on Alpha Marc gave a wicked smirk.
"You and your hunters are not welcome here."Alpha said as he took a step forward but was stopped by the number of crossbows pointed at him.They stood no chance,the whole pack was vulnerable.
"Where is the human?"The hunter asked.Mae gasped as she looked at me.
"Did you lead them here.Did you tell them about us and-"
"What!no.Mae I swear to god I didn't tell them anything."
"She's not here.And if you don't believe us search the estate.Just leave my family out of this."Alpha Marc said.The mysterious man nods and half of his men scatter across the field.
"We need to do something."Mae tried to walk over to him but I pulled her back.
"We need to be smart about this.We know they want me so how about I turn myself in and they'll let you go."
"Tristan won't let them take you that easily."She was right but it was our only chance.
"Tell your men to back off.I'm here."I walk towards them as heroically as possible.The wind in my hair,my clothes rippling.I felt like a god damn superhero.Mae on my side of course like a side kick.
The Man just looks at me.He seemed amused.Andy shoved Tristan away and walked up to me.
"Are you hurt?"He put both hands on my shoulders.i dared not to answer but shoved him.
"I'm who you want.leave these people alone."
"Ah you must be wendy."I've heard quite a story about you dearie."he chuckles."Ansel,Andy fall back." He turned his back.
"What no!You are not going anywhere with her and you are not a hero."Tris points at me.He was furious but I sensed worry in his eyes."Over my dead body."
"So be it."Andy took out a blade but just as he was about to stab Tris with it I stepped in front of him.
"No one is dying tonight."I say.Andy now realizing he almost stubbed me and put the blade away.
"I like this one."The Mysterious man says.
