Chapter 29: Secrets Out

Hermione got up and headed to the door. Ginny and Lily followed her. They headed back to their dorm room. Before Hermione could get to the girl's staircase she felt a hand on her arm. Hermione turned around to see Remus standing there. Hermione sighed and could see it in her eyes. She turned to look at the girls and said,

"Girls I think it's time to somewhere more private."

They walked down and out of Gryffindor common room. Remus kept up right behind them. They stopped at a bare wall and Remus looked at Hermione and Ginny confused. Lily smiled to him and said,

"Just wait."

Right then a door appeared and they walked into a very homely place. You could feel the warmth and peace of this place. Remus looked over to Hermione and Ginny and could tell that this was somewhere special to them. They all sat down on the couch and chairs that have appeared out of nowhere. Hermione sighed and faced Remus and asked,

"What do you know?"

Remus looked from Lily to them and Ginny smiled and said,

"She's alright. You can tell us."

"Well, Hermione if I am right and my facts are straight that you are not from,"

Before Remus could say anything else, the doors started to open. Hermione and Ginny had their wands out. Remus looked at Lily worried and Lily came over to Ginny and Hermione. There walked in Sirius and James. Hermione and Ginny lowered their wands and Hermione screamed,

"I COULD HAVE KILLED YOU!"

The Marauders looked terrified when Hermione said that. They could see the look Hermione gave them as stood there. Hermione walked back to where she was sitting.

"What is going on here?" Sirius asked looking around.

"I just wanted to go somewhere quieter to talk to the girls about something important." Remus said looking at his friends.

They were surprised at what he was saying. They could not believe that he was going to tell him. Hermione smiled and said,

"I know that you are werewolf Remus. So does Ginny and Lily."

He looked at them surprised. Sirius and James was surprised as well. Hermione smiled and said,

"We also know that you are animaguses James and Sirius. Well, Ginny and I did. I also know that James is a stag, Sirius is a black dog and Pettigrew is a rat." Hermione said displeased as she said what Pettigrew was.

They looked at Hermione and Ginny surprised. Hermione looked over to Ginny with a giggle. Hermione sighed and said,

"Remus, I know that you know that I am an animagus as well."

"Yes, the wolf in me could tell me that. But not Ginny?" He asked.

"I did not choose to do it. Hermione did not really have a chose. It was for the best for her. But I was there in support." Ginny explained.

"Then what animal are you?" James asked curious.

Hermione stood up and changed. There stood a dark haired fox. They boys looked surprised. They would not have expected her to a fox. They thought she would be an owl or something else. Hermione changed back and looked at the guy shocked.

"I know, surprising right? I did not expect myself to be a fox either." Hermione said with a laugh.

"The fox is the most cunning and sneaky animal beside a," Remus shared.

"Snake." Hermione finished.

Remus smirked and nodded. James and Sirius looked at each other confused. They did not know what was going on. But they were going to find out. Sirius knew that they were in here to talk about something else but Remus just covered it up for them.

"Well, it is lovely out. Why don't we go outside to enjoy the fresh air?" Lily suggested.

Everyone nodded and started to leave the room. Hermione stopped Remus and said,

"Thank you."

Remus just nodded and walked out with her. They stayed quiet as they went to the black lake. Hermione sat under the tree with Remus and Lily; while James, Sirius, and Ginny went to bug the giant squid. Hermione could feel eyes watching them. Hermione slowly looked around and from the distance she saw Peter Pettigrew watching them.

Ever since Hermione and Ginny had come into their lives. It was like they pushed Peter out of the group. Hermione knows that it was not nice but she also knows that it was the right thing to do. Hermione sat there thinking. She had just realized that they have already started to change things without them noticing.

"Oh I know that look love. What got your brain going now?" Sirius asked smiling flirty at Hermione.

She looked up at him. She did not realize that everyone was looking at her now. She smiled and said,

"You know me. I am just thinking about the upcoming exam from potions that we have coming soon."

Everyone just shook their heads. Ginny and Lily looked at her concerned. The girls sat down by the tree while the guys went to do something else. Hermione did not really hear them on what they said they were going to do.

"What were you really thinking Hermione?" Ginny asked.

"I just realized that even though we were not sure about changing thinks here, but we did." Hermione said quietly.

She tilted her head sideways and Ginny and Lily slowly looked over and saw Peter still watching them. The guys came back and sat across of the girls. Sirius noticed that Hermione was distracted.

"What's wrong Mione?" Sirius whispered to her.

Hermione looked over. She did not realize that Sirius was sitting so close to her. She could feel his breath next to her ear when he whispered to her. Hermione felt his warmth of his body next to her. She looked at him straight in the eyes and said,

"Don't worry Sirius. It's nothing."
