"I am Hermione Recess and I am going to join you in the fight to defeat Voldemort."

I looked around the room. I recognized a few people and there were a few that were strangers to me. Everyone was staring at me. The room was crowded with a lot of the Order members. I have never seen it this crowded before. Dumbledore rose from his chair and said to everyone,

"I would like to introduce you all to someone very important."

"She is just a child. She cannot be that important." Alastor Moody spoke.

I made a laughing noise and then walked up to him and said,

"I know things that will make your hair stand up. Believe me when I say I can help you."

You could see the way he looked at me. I waved my hand and made all my scars appear. There was lots of gasped in shock. I just ignored it. It was nothing different from before. Everyone around school has already seen it so it is no surprise any more. I just hide them because I am tired of the stares.

"I will tell you this, in three days there will be an attack on a small town in London. You need to get there before the Death Eaters. Also, be careful they will try to have an upper hand by tricking you with a little boy that they will make you believe is in trouble but he is not. It will be a Death Eater using polyjuice potion." I said then walked out of the room.

This will be the start of it all. It will show them that I am handy to have around and that I can help. I walked back to the common room. That was where I found Ginny and the guys. They looked at me with concern. I looked around and did not see Peter anywhere. I sighed in relief and sat down right next Sirius. He placed his arm around me and I leaned into him. It felt right being in his arms.

"Where did you go?" Remus asked.

"I went on a walk. I had a lot to think about. Don't worry. I'm alright." I said.

"Well, we went looking for you when we got back. We wanted to make sure you were alright." James said.

I smiled to him and said,

"I am fine. It's going to take more than what you friend Peter said to about me to get me upset. Gins how was your date?"

Ginny smiled and you could see that she was a little embarrassed to say anything in front of the guys. Sirius smiled and said,

"Yeah, don't be embarrassed about sharing what happened on your date. We all are friends here. We want to know."

Ginny just rolled her eyes and said,

"One, you sound so girly right there. Two, my date was just fine. Regulus was such a gentleman to me. I think I really like him."

"That's great Gins. I am so happy for you." I said getting up and giving her a hug.

"Yeah well, now we need to find you a guy Mione." Ginny stated.

"Oh no! I am alright for right now. I already have too much on my plate. Plus, I am just fine without a guy right now. I got to keep an eye on these guys and that is enough to keep me busy." I shared.

Ginny just rolled her eyes at me. I laughed and sat down.

*Sirius's POV*

I did not know what to think. Hermione did not want a guy in her life. So, what was I to her? Am I just a guy best friend. I could feel eyes on me and I looked down to see Hermione looking at me. She mouthed, 'Are you okay?'. I just nodded and went back to the conversation.

"Hermione, you don't have to take care of us. You should take care of yourself. That is the most important thing to do." James said.

I smiled to my best friend. He was so caring. I hope that he never loses that quality of his when he gets older. I looked down and watched Hermione. She smiled about that and you could see that she was thinking about something when James said that. Ginny snickered and everyone looked at her.

"What's so funny Gins?" Remus asked.

"It's just that Hermione does not know how to take care of herself. She only knows how to take care of others. Trust me I have seen it firsthand. Her two best friends were guys and she was the one making sure that they were good on everything. She made sure that they were safe and sound, did all of their school work and got decent grade to not flunk out of school. She was there for them when they needed her the most. She has sacrificed so much for them. I could not believe it. That is one quality about Hermione you cannot change. She is stubborn that way." Ginny explained.

I looked at Hermione as she spoke,

"Well, we actually looked out for each other. At least one of my best friends and I did. He at least tried to look out for me and try to make sure that I was alright and safe. But I did not mind and I don't mind now."

"What do you mean tried?" Remus asked.

"Well, my one best friend had a lot of responsibilities to up hold. You could say that he had the world on his shoulders. So, if there was a way to fix that and help him out then I was going to be there to do that. I helped by taking a little bit off his shoulders." Hermione explained.

"Well, that guy was one lucky guy to have you as a best friend. I don't know anyone besides these blokes that would do something like that for me." I spoke up.

Hermione smiled and said,

"He was. He was the best guy friend I could ever have."

*Hermione's POV*

Since that night, I have been thinking about my life and everything that has happened. How I missed Harry and everyone so much. But i was doing this for them. I wanted them to have a better life. One that would be happy and peaceful without war.

Ginny, Lily and I were walking down to lunch when I saw Professor McGonagall come running up to me. You could tell she was worried and frightened about something.

"Miss Recess, come with me." She said.

Ginny was about to follow but McGonagall stopped her and said,

"Only the one Miss Recess."

*Ginny's POV*

I looked over to Hermione and all you could see was her shrugging her shoulder. I looked over to Lily and she asked,

"What was that about?"

"I don't know. But I am going to find out."
