The weather was getting colder and winter was coming. Everyone was excited for winter break. But for Hermione she was getting scared. They have been doing research on every mind spell or potion that could help. Every day Hermione would go to the Hospital Wing to talk to Madam Pomfrey about everything.

Hermione looked out the window at the snow fall in the common room. She was alone. Everyone else was outside enjoying the weather. Hermione was just enjoying the peaceful quietness and her thoughts. It still bothered her about how she could not remember that day. Every day it bothered her.

"So this is where you go when everyone is having fun."

Hermione turned to be face with Sirius. She smiled to him and said,

"It's quiet here. I just wanted some time to think."

"How did today go? What did Madam Pomfrey have to say?" Sirius asked worried.

Hermione looked away and then said,

"We are still nowhere close to something that she would feel say to use on me yet."

Sirus came over to Hermione and sat right in front of her. He placed a hand on her hand. She looked up and looked at him in the eyes. She was trying not to cry. It was all becoming over whelming with everything that has happened. Now with the holidays coming it makes Hermione miss everyone back at home.

Sirius could tell that Hermione was upset and took her in his arms. She stayed in his arms like that for a while. Hermione let her thought take her over. She was thinking about how Sirius was from her time to now. It made Hermione shiver and Sirius just pulled her closer to him thinking she was cold. She breathed in and was surrounded by the scent of rustic woods, deasil oil, and sweet. She laid her head onto his chest.

"Hermione, what's the matter?" Sirius asked worried.

"It's just lots of things going on in my mind. I feel like I don't know who I am anymore and," Hermione paused.

"And what?" Sirius asked.

"I am not looking forward to winter break. It's just me and Ginny this year." Hermione admitted.

It seems like Hermione could never lie to Sirius but at the same time she hated lying to him. Sirius did not say anything after that. He felt bad for Hermione. She has been through so much and it's just been Ginny and herself now. The door opened up and everyone was coming in. Hermione still starred out of the window but she did not realize that she was falling asleep. Sirius still was holding me.

"Pads?" James screamed as he walked over.

When he walked up he saw Hermione was sitting there with him. He smiled to his best friend and asked,

"So what's going on here?"

Sirius smirked and looked down. He did not want to move Hermione at all. She looked so peaceful but it was getting cold by the window. He slowly picked her up and took her to the couch. Lily smirked over to Ginny and said,

"That's sweat of you Black."

Sirius just ignored them all at their remarks and sat there with Hermione. He looked over to Ginny and asked,

"Hey Gins. Can we talk quietly?"

Ginny nodded and got up with Sirius. But before Sirius turned to leave he looked at the boys and said,

"You don't wake her up. Let her sleep."

James and Remus looked at each other surprised that Sirius would threaten them. But they respected him and knew that he cared for Hermione a lot.

Ginny followed Sirius down the hall to an empty classroom. He faced Ginny and asked,

"Do you have feeling for my brother Regulus?"

Ginny was surprised that he caught her. Ginny took a deep breath and said,

"I do have some type of feelings for your brother but right now it's complicated."

Ginny saw Sirius sighed in relief. There was a sparkle in his eyes now. Ginny smiled a little bit and then asked,

"What is it Sirius?"

"It's just I think that you would be great for my brother. He needs someone that will change and bring out the good in him. He is not like those other worms. But he is trying to make my parents proud of him. I want to be there for him but it's hard to let him in like that." Sirius admitted. "Please promise me that if you do want to be with my brother that you will help get him out of the darkness and away from my family. They are trying to get him to join the dark side. He's not that type of person. I know he isn't."

Ginny nodded and then said,

"Sirius, you are such a caring and noble man. Hermione need someone like you. Don't mess it up dude."

Sirius smirked and then walked out of the classroom. Ginny walked down the hall. Right then like it was fate. Ginny walked right up to Regulus. He looked at her in the eyes. She hasn't seen him since the run in with over hearing the conversation between Luscious and himself. It upset Ginny that she might be too late to save Regulus but with the conversation she just had with Sirius it proves that she was not late yet.

"Regulus?" Ginny finally spoke up.

He smiled to Ginny and asked,

"Can we talk?"

Ginny nodded and followed him down the hall. They sat on one of the stone benches. She looked at him and saw that there was something in his eyes. Regulus sighed and said,

"Ginny I really want to admit something to you. But I don't know how to."

"Talk to me Regulus. I care for you and I want to be there for you." She admitted.

Regulus smiled and said,

"Alright. I- I don't know what to do. I don't want to be the person that my parents want me to be. They believe in the dark stuff and wants me to follow in their steps. Ginny you need to know that there is darkness in the school and it's targeted to you and your sister. I need your help."

Ginny smiled at Regulus. She felt honored that he would come to her for help. Ginny nodded and knew what to do. She grabbed his hand and dragged him to find Sirius. Sirius was still wondering around the halls. Ginny stopped him and said,

"Sirius follow me."

Sirius listened and they headed to the Headmaster office. Ginny walked up to his office and knocked on the door. Dumbledore smirked at Ginny and asked,

"How can I help you Miss Reese?"

Ginny smirked and said,

"It's time to change everything."
