Chapter 28: Confession

"Hello Sirus." Hermione said without saying a word.

"How did you know it was me?" Sirius asked impressed.

"Since I have been here it is usually only you who is up at this time. Am I right?" Hermione asked.

Sirius nodded. He sat down next her. They stayed silent for a while and then Sirius looked at Hermione and could tell that she was thinking about something. She was distracted.

"What's wrong? You seem distracted." Sirius asked.

"What, oh. Yeah." Hermione said.

"What's wrong?" Sirius asked.

"Have ever felt that you are meant to do so much more and you are scared to try to successes it?" Hermione asked out of the blue.

Sirius looked at her confused. His eyebrow rose and he said,

"It is up to you if you want to choose what you want to do more. But if you never tried then you would never know if you could success."

Hermione smiled at him and said,

"When did you get so smart Black?" Hermione said with a giggle.

"Hey I have my moments." Sirius smirked at Hermione.

She has felt safer with Sirius. She has never felt like this before unless she count being with Harry and Ron. But that was like a sister and brother relationship. But it was different with Sirius. She had a connection with him. They stayed silent for a few hours until Sirius spoke up and asked,

"Hermione, have you ever felt like there was a connection between two people that is strong between them but they don't know what it is?"

Sirius looked over to Hermione and noticed that she has fallen asleep on him. He smiled and picked her up. He could not let her sleep in the common room again and get caught by her friends. That would be embarrassing for her. He smiled at how peaceful Hermione looked. She was calm. Sirius moved a piece of hair out of her face and took her up to his room. Sirius placed her into his bed and covered her up. He looked up and saw that the Marauders were awake staring at him. She smiled at Hermione and then turned into a dog and feel asleep onto the floor.

James looked over to Remus and Remus was as shocked as he was. They did not know what to do. They would have to question their shaggy haired friend tomorrow.

Ginny looked around the room and could not find Hermione. She pushed Lily awake and Lily looked up and said,

"What's wrong Ginny? Why are you waking me up this early on a Saturday?"

"Hermione's not here. I can't find her. She is not in the common room either." Ginny said worriedly.

Ever since Hermione got attacked and they could not find out who was the attacker, Ginny has been a little bit protective over Hermione. She loved her like a sister and she was the only one that was left of their past.

Lily jumped up from her bed and got changed quickly. She followed Ginny down to the common room. There they saw Sirius and James. Lily and Ginny ran up to them and asked,

"Have you seen Hermione? She was not in the dorm room this morning and I can't find her at all."

"Don't worry Gins. Mione is fine. She is in our dorm room asleep." Sirius said with a grin.

"Why is she in your dorm room Black?" Lily asked concerned.

"Well, if you must know. I was in the common room late last night and I saw Mione there. We were talking and she fell asleep down here. I thought she would not want to sleep on this old lumpy couch so I took her up to my dorm room. Don't worry I was a gentlemen. You can ask the boys." Sirius explained.

Lily had her eyebrow rose and Ginny smiled at Sirius and said,

"Well that was sweet of you Sirius."

Sirius smiled and said,

"That's what I do. I am just a sweet,"

"Guys you might want to come up here now!" Remus said running down the stairs.

They looked from each other and followed him up to the Marauders room. Hermione was asleep tossing and turning. It looked like she was having a nightmare.

Ginny and Lily ran over to her and Ginny said,

"Hermione, wake up! It's alright. Hermione, you are safe."

Hermione jumped up and looked around. She did realize where she was. She was not in her dorm room.

"Where am I at?" She asked.

"You are in the guys room. Sirius brought you here last night when you fell asleep downstairs." Ginny said.

"Oh." Hermione said a little shocked.

Hermione did not know what to do or say. She could see the confusion and worry in the Marauders faces. She turned to Ginny and Lily and asked,

"How bad was it this time?"

"You would not wake up for anyone. Lily and I only could confer you while you were in it. What was it this time? What memory was it?" Ginny asked.

Hermione shook her head and started to cry. She did not care who was there. Lily and Ginny just held her and let Hermione cry. Ginny looked at the guys and did not know what to say. Hermione stopped crying after a while and said,

"I have been through a lot because of who my friends were and for my blood status. Let's just say that my past is something that would make your hair stand up. I have nightmares once and a while that are memories of my past. It affects me in different ways. Sometimes I have day-mares that I remember a memory during the day time and I blank out or something else happens."

Hermione tried to explain to them without telling them the truth. The Marauders did not say anything. Hermione looked over to Remus. He has a concerned and questioning look on his face. He has seen her have some episodes before. Hermione smiled and said,

"Thanks for letting me sleep in your dorm."

Hermione got up and headed to the door. Ginny and Lily followed her. They headed back to their dorm room. Before Hermione could get to the girl's staircase she felt a hand on her arm. Hermione turned around to see,
