Chapter 44: Motherly Figure

"What can I help you with?" 

I smiled at her and said,

"I need someone to talk to."

"Oh come on dear. Lets have a cup of tea. That always makes things better." Molly said.

We walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table. I looked around and saw that it was just the same as it always was. I smiled at the familiar to the house. The only difference is the pictures that are hanging on the walls. Molly walked back with the tea and sat down beside me. She gave me a smile and said,

"What's wrong Hermione?"

"I just am confused on everything. I don't have someone to talk to about a few things. I mean I have Ginny and Lily but they are distracted by a few things." I said.

"Well, you can definatly talk to me dear. I have seen the way you act at the meetings. You are a strong girl and have seen so much. I can't believe that you have seen so much and not have talked to anyone. But I would be honored to be here for you." Molly said.

I was so glad that I had her here in my life. Molly was always a big part of my life in my time and I would have never changed that. She was a mother figure that I needed and here she was now. Same old Molly just younger. She still had that warm open heart.

"Well, I actually wanted to talk about a guy. If that doesn't sound weird." I said.

"Of course it's alright. I don't have a daughter yet and I would love to have a connection like that with you. So tell me about this guy." She suggested.

I smiled and started to talk about Sirius. I did not know what to do about him. He was so complicating. Molly just sat there listening to me rant about him. She would put her two cents in when needed.

"Oh Hermione, he is just an idiot. Does he know what you are doing?" She asked.

I shook my head and said,

"None of my friends know about it. They just think I am a little school girl. Another peer that has a messed up life."

"No one think you like that. I can see you have been through a lot but they don't think of you as messed up. They think that you are strong and brave. They can see you are a fighter." Molly said taking my hands.

Right then I felt that connection that I always felt around Molly when I needed a mother figure in my life. I looked at the time and saw that it was way after cerfew. I got up and Molly followed me to the fireplace.

"Thanks for having me over. I really appreciate it." I told Molly.

"You come back when ever you want. You are so welcome here. Maybe next time you can meet the kids. I am sure they would love you." She told me.

I gave her a hug before heading through. I knew I would be spending more time here. I think I finally found my place to feel safe. I mean Ginny has Regulus to feel safe and the others have their family and friends. I was lost in a sea but I can see now that this was somewhere I could connect to.

As I landed in Dumbledore's office. Dumbledore was sitting at his desk and smiled at me. I thanked him and walked back to my common room. I smiled to myself and was peaceful in my own thoughts. Today may have been a confusing day. But it was a day to remember.

I got back to the common room and the portiate looked at me and just opened up. I thanked her and went right inside. There waiting for me was everyone. I looked at them confused. Ginny ran over to me and gave me a hug.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Where have you been? You missed dinner and then none of us could find you anywhere. And I mean anywhere." Ginny said freaking out.

"I am so sorry Gins. I went out for a bit. There was something I needed to do. I forgot to tell someone to tell you. I am truly sorry if I worried you. But I am fine." I told her giving her another hug.

I led her back to the couches with the others. Ginny gave me a look and then Remus then said,

"So where did you hide off to?"

"I had a few things to do for Dumbledore. Don't worry about it. But Ginny already know this already but I am going to be disappearing off here and there and a few nights that I may disappear. Please don't question me about it. I know that this is kind of mean to say but I really hope you all understand I have a few secrets myself." I told them.

Remus nodded and said,

"I can understand that. But just please if you are in trouble you will come to us for help."

"Of course Remus. I will but I do have a trouble asking for help. I am working on that. Ginny will tell you that." I told her that.

We all sat there in silence. But it was not even an awkward silence. Remus knew that it was time to go to bed. He looked at everyone and said,

"It's late and you two have a game tomorrow. So I think it would be a good idea for everyone to get some sleep."

Everyone nodded and started to head up. Lily turned at the stairs and asked,

"Hermione are you coming?"

I thought about it and said,

"In a little bit."

I looked back at the fire and let out a big sigh that I was holding in. Right then I heard a voice said,

"You are lying to everyone."
