Chapter 30: Finding the Truth

He could see Peter talking to Luscious Malfoy. He looked over to Hermione and could tell that she was thinking about something but nothing was clicking. Hermione looked at Sirius and saw concern in his eyes. Hermione leaned over to Sirius and whispered,

"Don't worry about it. We will talk about it later."

He nodded and they turned back to the others. Everyone was having a good day. They walked into the Great Hall and saw everyone starring at them. Hermione looked at the others confused. They just sat down at the end of the table. Lily turned to her neighbor and asked,

"Alice what's going on?"

"Everyone saying that Hermione," She did not get to finish her sentence.

Hermione felt a tap on her shoulder and saw McGonagall standing there. She did not look happy at all.

"Miss Reeves, I need you to come with me."

Hermione stood up and looked at her confused. Hermione looked at Ginny and the others confused. She followed McGonagall to Dumbledore's office.

*At the Great Hall*

"What is going on Alice?" Sirius ask concerned.

Alice looked around to make sure no teachers were around them. She sighed and said,

"Well, I heard that someone went up to Dumbledore saying that they think Hermione never got attacked that day but that she did it to herself."

"WHAT?!" Ginny screamed.

Everyone was looking at her as Ginny left the Great Hall. The Marauders and Lily followed her. They could not believe this. Ginny stormed into the office and said,

"This got to be bull shit!"

"Miss Reeves, language!" McGonagall stated.

Ginny did not care about her language. She only cared about her best friend Hermione. She looked over to Hermione and saw that she was upset. Ginny felt someone run pass her and went over to Hermione. Ginny looked over to see Sirius crouched down in front of Hermione whispering to her.

"Hermione what's wrong?" He asked concern.

"Miss Reeves, Miss Evans, Mr. Potter, Mr. Lupin, and Mr. Black please leave the room. This is between Miss Reeves and us. You can wait outside for her." Dumbledore spoke up.

Sirius did not want to leave Hermione. He looked up at her and she just nodded to him. He stood up and followed his friends out of the room. Sirius started to pace back and forth worried. Ginny leaned against the wall with the others.

"Sirius will you please stop pacing. It's helping no one." Lily spatted.

"Well, it helps me. It's keeping me occupied." Sirius spatted back.

"Alright. We all are worried about Hermione. But this is not the way to do it. Ginny why not go for a walk with Sirius. If Hermione comes out before you two come back we will come and find you." James said with a sigh.

Ginny nodded and pushed Sirius in front of him. They walked down passed the library. Sirius looked at Ginny and said,

"I think I am just going to go to the library for a little a bit."

Ginny nodded and smiled at him. Since Hermione came Sirius has changed a lot. Everyone knows it too. Ginny wandered down the hallway. Ginny saw Regulus walking towards her. She turned down an abandon hallway. She turned around to be face to face with him.

"Why do you all ways meet like this Regulus?" Ginny asked.

"You tell me Ginny. How is your sister?" He asked.

"I don't know. She's still in the headmaster's office. Can you tell me where this all came from? Everyone knows that Hermione would never do this to herself. At least I know that." Ginny said worried.

Regulus sat down with her on a bench and said,

"Well, I am not supposed to say anything but this is important."

"What is it? Do you know something?" She asked excited.

Ginny was hoping that Regulus was going to share something that he knows about the Slytherins. She knew from Hermione that Regulus never wanted to be a death eater and that he was always good and sacrificed his life for his brother and the greater good.

"Well, I overheard that," He was about to say.

"Reg, there you are." A male's voice said walking towards them.

Regulus turned to his Ginny behind him so the mystery voice could not see her. Ginny wondered who was there.

"What is it Luscious?" He asked.

"We were all looking for you. We are having a meeting in the common room and I was wondering where you are at with that Reeves girl. Do you have her in your grasp yet?" He asked.

Regulus just shook his head and watched as Luscious walked away and said that he will see him in the common room. Regulus turned around to be face to face with a shocked and pissed Ginny.

"What does he mean about meeting in the common room? Are you becoming a Death Eater?" Ginny asked. She then realized what she said and regretted opening her mouth.

Regulus looked at Ginny confused. He could not believe what he was hearing. Before he could say anything else Ginny butted in and said,

"What does he mean about 'do you have that Reeves girl in your grasp yet'? Well Black?"

"I UMMM...." Regulus was speechless.

Ginny already knew what he was going to say. He was going to try to cover it up. She did not care. Ginny did not want to hear what he was going to say.

"If you are not going to tell me the truth or anything about my sister, then I do not want to hear about it." She spatted at him.

Ginny left Regulus standing there. He was not going to tell her anything. She walked back to the library crushed. She really thought he liked her but she was wrong. Ginny thought it was interesting that Hermione warned her about liking a Slytherin but also Regulus and his friends.

She found Sirius coming out with a few books in hand. She tilted her head at him with a grin. He blushed a little bit and asked,

"What?"

"Nothing. Don't worry about it Romeo." She said with a giggle.

They walked back to the headmaster's office and saw that Remus was the only one still there. He turned to them and said,

"She still has not came out yet. Lily and James went back to the common room. I was waiting for you two. Do you two think we should go?"

Ginny nodded and they headed back to the common room. As they walked into the common room they saw,
