Chapter 47: Friendship is Forever

Neither of us knew what to say. We were just sitting in our room. The fourth bed was empty. It was going to be different from now on. I looked at James and Remus. They were not looking at the other bed. I just felt anger go through me. He was our friend. We trusted him.

"I still can't believe it. Little Wormy had this side of him." James said.

"HE IS NOT THE WORMTAIL WE KNOW! HE IS A TRAITOR!" I screamed anger.

Remus came and sat beside me and placed a hand on my shoulder. I just put my face in my hand and just shook my head. James sighed and said,

"This is a betrayal that is lower than anything. How do we move on? It feels like we are missing a piece of ourselves."

"We just slowly take it day by day and surround ourselves with people we know care about us. We lean on each other for support and know that we can move on from this all." Remus stated.

"I think I know at least two witches that know how we are feeling." Remus added.

James and I looked at him and I said,

"Hermione and Ginny?"

Remus nodded, and I sighed. I had all these questions about those two. They were so mystery's and at the same time they were open like a book. They were two witches that were special in every way.

"Did you see the way they looked when everyone found out about Peter? Or how Hermione knew bout Peter?" James asked.

"Yeah, she had this look that I can not explain." Remus said.

We all nodded, and I got up and said,

"I think I'm going to take a walk for a little bit. See you all later."

*Hermione's POV*

Ginny and I was in our room together. She sat down on my bed with me. I just sighed and said,

"Why is he so difficult sometimes?"

"He's Sirius. Do we expect anything else? You remember how he was as an adult." Ginny said.

I started to laugh. Sirius was such a flirt to Ginny and I when we were around him. Molly would hate it. She would always be yelling at him. Telling him that we were underage and that it was inappropriate of him.

"Yeah, but he is different here. He doesn't have that past haunting like he did in the future and I am going to make sure that he doesn't ever experience that." I said.

Ginny nodded and then we heard something tapping at our window. I looked over to see Sirius floating there. I came over with a grin. I looked down to see James and Remus on the ground. Sirius was on a broom.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Well, we thought we could talk to our two favorite witches. But they are up in the tower where the handsome brave knights can't get up to." Sirius said with a smirk.

Ginny started to laugh behind us and said,

"That was the corniest thing you ever said. Did you really think that was going to work?"

Sirius just shrugged, and you could hear James screaming,

"Tell those two to get their lazy butts down here already. And Sirius stop flirting with Hermione."

I looked to Ginny and we walked down our dorm room and out onto the grounds. The boys were waiting for us by the big tree. I sat down next to Sirius and he pulled me into his arms. I just shock my head and resting it onto his chest.

"So, we have a few things we want to talk to you about. We have been talking and we all think it's time to make you two honorary members of the Marauders." James said.

"You two will be the first and only girls that are Marauders." Sirius said all excited.

"Well, we are honored!" Ginny said.

"This was a big moment for the Marauders." James said.

"But there are a few things we have to go over first. Before we tell you all our secrets." Sirius said.

I felt eyes on me and I looked to Remus. He gave me a smile and said,

"We know you two have had a hard past and we understand if you don't want to share everything with us just yet. Trust me, I know how it is to keep things from people you care about. But we just want you to know that we will always be here for you. And hopefully one day you will share everything with us."

It was like he was reading my mind. I loved these boys so much. They understood everything and did not push us. I did kind of fell bad that they did not know everything about us, but it was for their safety.

"So where do we begin?" Ginny asked all excited.

I couldn't help but laugh at her. She reminds me so much of her brothers, mostly Fred and George. They would have loved this so much. I sighed to myself and focused back onto the conversation.

"Well, you already have proven to us that you belong. So, I guess you are honorary members." James said.

He turned to Remus and Remus sat up and said,

"Hermione Ginny, please up your right hand up. Repeat after me. I solemnly swear that I will protect my fellow Marauders. That I will always be there for them in their desired need. I will not betray their trust and secrets. I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

We repeated after them and I couldn't help but smile about it all. This was incredible. I was a Marauder. I thought of Harry and Ron. We were labeled as the 'Golden Trio' or the 'Trouble Trio'. I will always be a part of that. They will always be in my heart and I hope that will not change.

"Now, we need to figure out your nickname." James stated.

I couldn't help but laugh at that. Of course, that would be the first thing he says.

"Oh, how I have a perfect one for Mione here!" Sirius said with a flirty smirk.

I gave him a look and then James asked,

"Should we trust Pads here. I mean he has created some clever names for them."

"What is the nickname?" Remus asked.

"Vixen!"

We all looked at each other and Ginny was trying to hold back a laugh. She knew the truth and I knew that name fit perfect to me. Remus looked at Ginny and said,

"Yours will be Clover."

Ginny smirked and nodded. It fit her perfectly. This was going to a new beginning for everyone. I was excited, and I knew that everything will be a new start.
