Chapter 21: Scared

Ginny looked from Madam Pomfrey to Hermione and nodded. You could hear Lily gasp from that. Everyone was shocked at that answer. Ginny put her head down and looked towards the ground. Before she could get attacked by questions from the Marauders, Professor Dumbledore came barging into the Hospital Wing.

"What is going on? Is Miss Reeves going to be alright?" Dumbledore asked.

"I am not sure, Albus. She has so much scars and damage to her body that I am unsure. If Miss Reeves here answers all of my questions and helps me out then we can sure do our best." Madam Pomfrey stated worried.

Dumbledore nodded. He turned to face the Marauders. He escorted them out of the Hospital Wing. Dumbledore face Madam Pomfrey and saw that Lily was there making potions. Dumbledore faced Madam Pomfrey and Ginny and said,

"Are you going to be alright to reveal everything with Miss Evans here?"

"I can do it, if it will help Hermione." Ginny stated.

"Miss Evans, can you please come over here for a second?" Dumbledore asked. Lily put down the vile that she was working on and walked over to Dumbledore.

"Yes, Headmaster?" Lily asked.

"I have to tell you that if you are going to be staying in here to help out that you cannot repeat anything that is said in this room. Do you understand me?" Dumbledore asked.

"Yes, Headmaster. If it is important enough to save Hermione's life and that I have to keep it a secret then I will take it to my grave." Lily stated.

Dumbledore nodded in agreement. He got out of Lily's and Madam Pomfrey's way so that they can take care of Hermione. Ginny walked along side of Madam Pomfrey telling her everything that she knew and how that all happened. Lily listened to everything and could not believe what she was hearing. Could this be true? Can Ginny be telling the truth? Lily thought to herself as she gave Madam Pomfrey the potion she needed.

"Is she going to be alright?" Ginny asked scared.

Lily looked toward Madam Pomfrey for the answers. Lily was not sure how Hermione lasted this long with all the damaged she had been through. She could not believe that one person could be so harmed and still be an amazing person.

"I am not sure dear. Miss Reeves has been through a lot. I cannot tell what the new damage was and what is old. She is a strong young lady I can tell you that. I don't know anyone else that could drag their body all the way to Gryffindor common room without giving up. You have a warrior here." Madam Pomfrey stated looking at Hermione in sorrow.

"You have no idea. "Ginny could only say that.

She felt bad for her friend. Ginny did not know who did this but she was going to find out. Ginny got up from the chair by Hermione's bed and asked if she was need anymore. Madam Pomfrey shook her head no. Ginny left the Hospital wing and was faced with the Marauders. They have been waiting there for any news about Hermione.

"Is she going to be alright?" Remus asked.

"Madam Pomfrey said that she thinks that Hermione should be alright and now we are just waiting for her to wake up. She had been through a lot and need her rest." Ginny stated.

"When are we allowed to visit her?" Sirius spoke up.

"Madam Pomfrey did not say. But I will ask her later. Right now I have to find out who did this to her." Ginny stated mad.

The Marauders all nodded in unison in agreement. They wanted to help Ginny out and get back at the people that did this to their Hermione. James looked toward Ginny and said,

"How can we help?"

"I am not sure yet. But I need to go talk to someone and I will get back to you about it. Meet me in your dorm in about an hour." Ginny said before leaving.

Ginny walked down to the lake knowing that was where Regulus was going to be. She stopped at the tree and looked up. Of course there he was lounging in the tree reading his book. Ginny grinned a little bit at the sight. She could always know where he was when she needs to talk to someone.

"Regulus, we need to talk." Ginny said sternly.

Regulus looked down and saw Ginny standing there. He could tell that she was not her happy self today. He hopped down from the tree and sat on the ground. Ginny stood there not moving. She had her hands on her hips and she looked pissed.

"What is the matter Ginny? Is everything alright?" Regulus asked concerned.

"Someone attacked Hermione today and I want to know who did it." Ginny stated.

Regulus straightened up quickly and looked worried. He did not know what to say.

"Well, do you know something or not?" Ginny asked impatiently.

"Ginny, I don't know if you think that someone in my house did it but I know that no one in my house would do that. They may not be all nice but I trust them." Regulus stated.

"I can't believe that you believe them. I actually do think it was one of those skiving little bastards." Ginny spatted.

Regulus got up from where he was sitting. He was not did not like most of the people in his house but if you were going to accuse them he was not going to have it.

"Those bastards are my friends and I do not like how you are accusing them of something they may have not done. Like you said, you do not know who did it to your sister." Regulus spatted back.

"Well, I know that they are the only one that has a problem with Hermione being a muggleborn and you know that for a face. They hate muggleborns." Ginny said getting boiled.

"I am not going to stand here and listen to you say things about my friends that are not true." Regulus stated grabbing his book and walking back toward the castle.

Ginny went to meet the boys in their dorm, as Ginny walked into the Gryffindor common room she was bombarded with questions from everyone about Hermione. Lily grabbed Ginny's arm and dragged her up the stairs. They both walked quietly to the boys' dorm. Lily stopped Ginny from entering and said,

"I would like to talk later, just the two of us. Is that alright?"

Ginny nodded in agreement. She knew what that was about. She wanted to talk about everything that she heard about in the hospital wing. Ginny did not blame Lily for being curious about it all. They entered the room and saw that the boys were all in a small group talking to themselves. Ginny made a coughing noise to get their attention. James looked up and smiled when he saw Lily.

"What have you found out Ginny? Did my brother give you any answers?" Sirius asked.

Ginny looked shocked as well did everyone else. She could not believe that Sirius knew that it was Regulus that she needs to talk to. Ginny shook her head no. Sirius sighed and said,

"Of course not. He believes everything that those prats tell him. What did he say to anyway?"

"I told him that Hermione was attacked and that I wanted to know who it was. Then he did not answer right away and I got a little mad and yelled at him asking him if he knew. He told me that he doesn't know if I think that someone in his house did it but he knows that no one in his house would do that. They may not be all nice but he trusts them. That was when I freaked out and told him that I know that it was one of those skiving little bastards. Regulus got mad and told me that those bastards are his friends and that he knows that they did not do anything. So now I know for a fact that it was one or more of those worms but I do not have proof on it." Ginny explained everything.

"Of course he would believe anything they say. He worships the ground they all walk on." Sirius stated with an evil smirk.

"But how are we going to find out who attacked Hermione?" Lily butted into the conversation in concern.

"That is where it gets hard. I really don't know yet but we will figure it out. The first thing is that we have to wait for Hermione to wake up and hear her half of the story. Then we will go from there. I swear when I find out who did this they will pay for it." Sirius said with anger.
