(Richie's POV)
Eddie was laying on my chest when I woke up. Talk about a good view. I kissed the top of his head and admired him. Was he going to be...my boyfriend? I didn't know how relationship stuff worked. All I knew was that I liked to spend time with him and wanted to make him happy.
He yawned and began to open his eyes slowly. I quickly looked away. I didn't want him to know I was staring. I pretended to still be asleep, with my lips resting on his head.
"Richie...." he groaned and rubbed his eyes.
I opened my eyes and looked down at him. "Yeah, Eds?"
He looked up at me and grabbed me by the cheeks, and squeezed them together. He was so cute.
"Good morning," he said, still pretty groggy sounding.
I chuckled and leaned in to kiss him. I pulled away as my cheeks flushed. "Good morning, sunshine."
I glanced over at the clock. It was 10am. Both my parents were already away at work.
"Do you want me to make you some pancakes?" I asked.
He smiled. "Yeah, I could go for some."
I jumped out of bed. "Okay, come help!"
We walked into the kitchen and he sat at the island table.
"Chocolate chip or blueberry?" I asked.
"Just plain," he answered. I looked back at him with a puzzled look painting my face. I laughed.
"Really? You're so boring!" I groaned. I was kidding. I winced. I told him I was going to stop making fun of him. It's so hard for me. That's the only way I know how to flirt!
"I'm just kidding. Don't get upset. I'll make you pancakes."
He smiled. "I can help, if you want."
"Nah. I want to make it for you. You can just sit there and look pretty."
I took pancake mix and followed the directions the best I could. I sighed. It was kind of hard. I didn't know how to do this. I just wanted to impress him.
He crept up behind me and hugged me. I twisted around quickly and put the powder from the pancake mix on his nose. He gasped and brushed it off. He laughed. He had such a cute laugh. It made me laugh too. To my surprise, he played along. He went to the fridge and grabbed an egg and held it up like he was about to throw it at me.
"You wouldn't..."
He laughed. "Nah. I wouldn't. But that recipe requires an egg, genius."
He handed it to me and I blushed. I cracked it on the edge of the countertop and pulled the shells off, putting the yolk into the mix. Eddie stood next to me, mixing the pancake mix with a whisk. After the batter was made he holds the whisk up, offering me to lick it.
"You sure this isn't too unsanitary for you?" I asked, leaning in.
He hesitated but then shook his head no. I licked it and nodded at him to do the same.
He shook his head. "You kissed me, it's the same thing," I said.
He looked at me angry. "Yeah, and I'm probably gonna get mono and die, but I've been trying not to think about that."
I laughed. He shook his head trying his best not to smile and took a lick of the batter from the whisk.
I kissed his cute little nose. I liked him like this. I liked making breakfast with him and having sleepovers. Sure, we did it before, but it wasn't the same. Now, I could kiss him whenever I wanted to. And I was going to take full advantage of that.
