Chapter 10

*Five years later*

An expedition was upon us. An expedition beyond wall Rose was underway. Walking through the streets was always something to look forward to, civilians cheering us on to take back what was once ours. Cadets who had just graduated were looking at us with hope in their eyes, if only they knew what terrors lay beyond the walls.

I moved in for the kill, slicing the titan's neck open before landing on a roof top of a nearby building. I looked around to see two titans moving in towards me. I activated the maneuver gear and flew towards one of them. The titan reached out to grab me but I jumped off from its hand and onto its head. I pulled out two new swords and sliced the neck open spilling titan blood all over. I connected to the other titan and hit it really hard in the chest knocking it off balance while Erwin came down from above and went in for the kill.

I looked over to see no more titans in the vicinity.

"What the hell is going on? Titan's are scarce. Why are there so little?" I asked Erwin

Erwin was confused as well. Suddenly another member of the squad came up onto the rooftop.

"Sir!" He said "All titans are moving north, in the direction of the wall! It's possible that wall rose has fallen!"

I was in complete shock, for a titan attack to occur so close to the previous is terrible. Especially considering the cadets had just graduated the day before. Which would mean that they would be apart of the battle.

"We will head back to Wall Rose to assess the situation. ALL SQUADS WITHDRAW!" He yelled pulling out his flare gun and putting in a blue smoke signal. "We leave now!"

*A few hours later*

The formation was taken apart for the The wall was now in sight. It was definitely in bad shape. The gate was broken and titans were coming through.

"ALL SOLDIERS FULL SPEED AHEAD!" Erwin yelled. As soon as we got into maneuvering distance of the wall, I lept off of my horse not even caring anymore. Levi followed close behind as two titans moved in on 3 soldiers below. Both Levi and I immediately lept off from the wall onto the two titans killing them each instantly. I landed on top of one of them while Levi on the other. The three soldiers were looking at us in shock. And that's when I saw it, a young man in the middle who was different from his comrades. He was steaming, and had strange markings on his face. Just like what happened during all of the experiments and the first mission beyond the walls. I could tell that Levi was just as baffled as I was.

"What the hell-" Levi starte

"What's going on here?" I asked finishing Levi's sentence

In the next two days, the situation became more clear as the titans were being wiped from inside the walls with cannon fire. All military higher ups were called for a meeting inside wall Sina to assess the situation and confirm what went on.

"Thank you all for coming." Commander Zackley said welcoming everyone "As i'm sure you know, wall Rose was attacked by an appearance from the Colossal titan. We suffered heavy losses, however, we may have found something that will make everyone recall another case similar to this. It seems that another person who is able to turn into a titan has been identified."

Everyone was in shock, no one ever thought that this would be possible.

"Now, taking into consideration the last court case, we can't confirm that these two people's powers are linked. They seem different from each other. For one-" He said looking at me "The transformation of soldier Ava looks much different from a titan, the one this time looks more like a regular titan. Now more about the person himself. His name is Eren Yeager, he was a cadet in the 104th training corps when he was called to battle during the recent titan attack. The reports say that he was devoured by a titan not long after the battle started. At that point, comrades assumed that he was dead and continued on with the mission. At that point, cadet Mikasa Ackerman was about to be devoured by a titan when an aberrant titan attacked the titan that was about to kill her. Running low on gas, the cadets had to make it over the wall, but the armory and gas storage was swarming with titans. They used the titan who attacked others of its kind to get rid of the titans around the building so the cadets could get fresh gas. The titan then used up its strength and collapsed, which is when Eren Yeager came out of its nape.
