Chapter 11

Sorry about the delay. School really has me on edge. Especially with AP classes

(Levi POV)

The next day, we were allowed to bring Eren into our custody. Ava and I had already assembled a team of the most capable soldiers in the corps. Ava wasn't going to meet up with us until later in the day, due to a meeting for the strategy committee. So I decided to get a head start on the introduction to the corps by heading to the survey corps old hideout.

You could see the thing from miles away, it was enormous. The building was worn down and cracks were forming all over the place. Things had really gone to hell. It was so far away from the wall that it would had taken at least a week to get there by foot. The special operations squad was chosen to be able to bring a wide variety of skill and talent in order to protect Eren.

"The former HQ of the survey corps. It's nothing more than a remodelled old castle, tough, fitting to be called the headquarters only in appearance." Oluo said speaking to Eren "In reality, the fact that the HQ was located in a place like this, miles away from the river and wall, shows that they deemed the corps an unneeded and useless division. In the beginning, they only paid lip service to us. But to think that this overblown decoration, called our HQ, would actually come in handy someday as the most suitable prison to hold you in! Life's funny that way."

Eren was definitely overwhelmed, just looking at the back of him you could see that he was drenched in sweat and completely terrified. He turned around to me just to turn back looking embarrassed to see me looking at him.

"Don't get cocky 'Noob' " Oluo said obviously not reading the situation right "Titan power or whatever, but just because the captain was put in charge of supervising a brat like y-" He said just before his horse hit a rough patch making him almost bite his tongue off.

We were at the castle in no time. The members of the team consisted of 7 including myself, Ava, and Eren. Pretty low in number considering other squads. But we are the best of the best.

"The building is a bit desolated since it wasn't in use for a long time." Gunther said making a disgusted face.

"Get to work then, on the double." I said "Find some cleaning supplies in there and get to work."

For the next 2 hours all we did was work. I needed the whole thing to be clean before anyone else is to come. I'm not embarrassed to call myself a clean freak, but I hate it when other people call me that.

"I'm finished with cleaning on the upper level, sir." Eren said coming into the room that I was working on. "Sir, may I ask where my place to sleep is?"

"Your room is in the dungeon." I said taking off the mask covering my mouth.

"Another dungeon?" Eren asked disappointed.

"Of course. You can't exactly control yourself after all. If you turn into a titan in your sleep, in the dungeon, we'll be able to restrain you." I said explaining the plan we had for him "That's one of the conditions that we had to accept when you were released to us. The rules that we must hold up." Ava suddenly came to mind thinking that. How she was forced to be put under strict surveillance and watched 24 / 7 by the military police. Eren must have noticed my change in mood.

"Sir?" He asked almost looking concerned. "Oh yeah. When will the corporal be back?"

"The corporal will be back around sun down. She had to stay behind for a meeting with the other higher ups. We both have the same rank in this squad, I expect for you to treat me the same way you would me, and vice versa. I'll go check the rooms you cleaned. Finish in here." I said leaving the room
