The sun was shining as Ace Dires, age 25, was outside walking to work. He was a doctor at the New Brewster Hospital in his home city. Ever since he was little, he's been into medical and helping people. Never once has romance crossed his mind. When he arrived, he saw his younger brother, Robert, at the emergency entrance and went over to him.
"Rob? What's going on?"
"Ace! Thank goodness you're here! We got an emergency call. There was a fire at one of the apartment buildings and three people were caught in it."
"Oh my god.. Alright. Let's get a move on." Ace said as Rob nodded and they went inside.
After about an hour, the two finished and Ace sighed softly. Rob looked at him.
"At least they'll be okay." He said softly.
"Yeah." He nodded and sat down.
"Ace... Are you still upset from the last time?"
"Yes.. I just... I can't get over that.."
"Hey." Rob gently placed a hand on his shoulder. "Why don't you go on a small vacation? Relax for a while. You work too hard here and Cassy and I can handle things, big brother."
"Are you sure?"
"Certain. I'll get things set up for you. Why not Silver City or Waves?"
"Waves sounds good. It's peaceful there." Ace nodded. "Thanks Rob."
"No problem." Rob smiled before leaving to set up a flight for Ace, who smiled a bit. Maybe a vacation won't be so bad.
