You were my muse
My souls inspiration
You had my heart
Like you preformed an ablation

We connected
Like I couldn’t believe
But time was short
And you were quick to leave

I pleaded for you to stay
While on my knees
You said we'd keep in touch
But now we don’t speak

I thought the distance
Had driven us apart
But I never had a chance
Even from the start

You didn’t care
And love had me blinded
Ignorance is bliss
Or so I’m reminded

You see I’m doing well
And it makes you angry
I’m doing just fine
And I can say that amply

You say you miss me
And that may be true
But I’m achieving my dreams
And I did it without you.
