I'm sorry for fighting you for so long
For not giving you more reasons to laugh and smile
I regret not giving you my all and best just to see what would come out of it
But you and others told me this would be the case
It is only I to blame for this mistake
I'm sorry for the heaviness I brought into your world
You were so willing to carry yours and my heavy load
How devoted you were to me
I wish I wasn't so hurt that I couldn't see
Although these are words written upon a page
I wanted you to know the truth my heart longed to say
No longer able to allow my actions to show the words I wish now to speak
As now there's no more we, only a you and me
