I ached for you to come
Rescue me from this abyss
From the wildfires
Set aflame amongst my hopes and dreams
I prayed for you to set me free
To unlock the chains around my feet
The yoke that was choking me
Making it hard to breathe
Yet you came to teach and show
For me to understand and grow
For me to allow you to mold
And remind me
And remind me...
It's within me to extinguish the pain
To heal my pain
To unlock the chains
To exhale
To release
For me to know the power of me
