Chapter 3... Recurring Nightmare

I held her tight as she shivered in my arms, her body shook against mine. She was scared and so was I. We shouldn't be going through this not at 14 and 10. Though it's not our fault, there was no way we could've known that this was going to happen. We had no decision in it

"Don't worry. It will all be okay."

I whispered that in her ear over and over again, I was feeding her false hopes, because I didn't believe it. If I didn't believe it why should she. The house was dark and we had lost our creator, we all went separate ways. This reminded me of when the power had gone out one time and we played his and go seek in the dark stormy night, but right now we did not want to be found by anyone. Hide or die. I stood up,  I took her hand and I lead her down the hall trying not to make a sound. People with lights were in the house. The lights flashed through the cracks then I stopped, once the lights were gone I started moving again

"Follow me." I whispered

We traveled down the small halls, I was looking for a door. We couldn't go outside because people were there too and our created was probably taken out there with them. I searched the walls for the door but I couldn't find it, but I knew it was here. After panicking to find the little door I found it, the door that I only knew was here. I let her go first and she crawled in then I followed, I gently shut the door. I couldn't stand up there was no room for me, but we both crawled to the end and there was a corner then a wall. She pushed the wall but it didn't move

"There is a wall." She said

"It's alright. They won't find us here." I said

I leaned up against the wall then sat down, she came over and sat in my lap. I wrapped my arms around her, I held her tightly in my arms. People were walking on the floors and we heard them, they got closer and closer to the door. I covered her mouth with my hand because she was crying, at the same time I was keeping myself from crying. I had to stay strong for her which meant showing no weakness

"Hush." I whispered

She nodded and slowly calmed down. People still wondered the house but they still didn't find us, soon they gave up and they started to leave. I knew that they would come back soon to look around again but for now we were safe, but one lone person was left. They walked around the house again, up and down the stairs, into the basement, the kitchen, the living room. The person stopped right above us, we had to stay silently still

"Can't find the 2 girls." He said

"10-4." Someone replied

Then their foot steps went to the front door, we were so relieved that all of them had gone. But we were now alone, we never left the room, instead we stayed there and eventually she started to fall asleep. I don't know what time it is, it's sometime in the night I think but I can't be sure. I'm not outside I can't look at the sky to be sure, our creator taught us how to tell the time outside without a clock. Our creator taught us how to fight, how to protect ourselves and others like us. By this time my protective instinct kicked in, I could become a killing machine. It's who I am, but I'm a upgrade, along with others, I can control my anger and my rage. That's so I can control myself and so I don't hurt those who don't deserve it

"Katerina, what are we going to do?" She asked before she fell asleep

"Wait and when morning comes we will leave." I told her

She nodded and I brushed her hair with my fingers. I had a plan, it was for me and her to run off together from this mess and that way we would be safe with each other. She cuddled up into my arms and fell asleep and I forced myself to stay awake but that didn't happen. I fell asleep, but I was woken up by someone busting the small door down. I woke up and I held her tight. People crawled into the room and somehow dragged us out. I wasn't strong enough to stop them, I should have stopped them but I couldn't and I have no clue why. They held me tight as I thrashed around
