They could hear the screams and the sobs coming from the village, everyone could. T'Argho was sent ahead to scout the area, and hopefully enter the village to tell us what was going on. Out of all in the pack, he was the one that could be around humans better than the rest of them, but that did not mean that he was the best scout. They were perched on the trees, looking down towards the village. It was small enough that everybody knew each other, but big enough so that news only took ten minutes to get around the entire place.
Dimitri spoke from another tree to the rest of the group, "Guys, can you see him."
"No Dimitri, my line of sight is not that good. What is happening?" asked Yuri.
"He is slaughtering them, all of them..."
"Well, is he having fun?"
"Tons." The last voice came from the tree line next to my position, Yuvin had not noticed T'Argho walking up to him. Yuri and Dimitri jumped out of their perch and walked over to us. They were in no hurry, so he knew that there was nothing to worry about. He looked at T'Argho, his hands were covered in blood, and he was breathing heavily.
Yuvin sat down next to the tree, it was time for the boring part of the day. He hated to wait and hear what other people had to say, he would much rather see it for myself. Dimitri began the conversation.
"What did you learn, is there any information that we could use?"
"When I got there, the women told me that the men had gone out to look for a murderer who had killed a girl not too long ago. They showed me the corpse, it was badly mutilated, but the face was intact."
"What else?"
"I went on to kill every single one of them, just like you and Yuvin instructed. Nobody was spared, not even the children." T'Argho had a wild eyed look, he was hiding something, a secret. Before Yuvin could speak, Yuri spoke up.
"Is there anything else that you might like to add," he tilted his head a little to the left. "Anything that you might have left out?"
T'Argho's heart beat began to increase, everyone could hear it now. He gulped, his mouth was dry. "Abraham has been here." His voice was shaky, but also calm. Yuvin got up and looked at him in the eyes.
"How do you know this?" he asked.
"His scent is there, weak, but it is still there. By the looks of it, he was the person who killed that girl. Now he is headed south, deeper into the woods."
Dimitri spoke up from behind, his voice was powerful, "Then let us follow, surely he will lead us to the wolves."
"No, we must rest. It is nearly night time. Each one of us takes a separate house, we can't afford to all die at the same time if the hunters attack again. And the men of the village surely won't be back for days, these humans are stubborn, as some of you may already know."
"What of the scent?"
"We will still find the wolves, we don't need Abraham's indirect help. Now go get some rest, we have a long day ahead of us, and I can't guarantee that we will get much sleep over the next few days."
Dimitri glared at Yuvin with a look of hate, before going turning around and walking towards the village. T'Argho followed close behind him, but soon slowed down to a snail pace. The guy was exhausted. But of course anybody would be after such a massacre. They both reached the village ans quickly took the two closest houses from the clearing. Yuvin looked around the area, the snow was picking up in speed, and more of it was falling. Yuri walked past Yuvin, but stopped to say something to him.
