A bell signalled the end of the class. Shadow packed up her books and went with the twins to the lunch room. She noticed Bonnie and Foxy walk in, and waved over for them to join her. They paid for their food and went to a table, before Maria walked over.

"Oh, Sorry! didn't see you there... Please don't kill me!" Maria laughed after spilling a beaker of water over Shad. A group of 'popular' people walked over and laughed. A few 'tripped' and bits and peices of food somehow found their way over Shadow.

Without a word, Shad just stood up and ran through the doors into the bathrooms.

"What was that for?" Bonnie yelled at the group

"It was just an honest mistake..."

"Really now? I've only been here... What? Three and a half hours and I can see that you make the poor kid's life a misery!" he yelled at them, not trying to hide the fact he was trying to protect her.

Shadow sat against the wall in one of the stalls, when she heard the outside door creak open.

"Shadow, uh, Bonnie and Foxy sent me to see if you're okay... I'm Chica." a young, sweet voice echoed through the stalls.

Shad found herself standing up and clicking the door open, without realising what she was doing until t was too late. A short-ish girl stood in front of her. The girl had short, yellow hair and magenta eyes. She went closer and pulled a noodle out of Shadow's hair.

"Bonnie's worried about you..." Chica helped Shadow begin to clean herself up.

"He... He is?"

"Yes... C'mon, you probably want to go home?"

Shadow nodded, and outside, Bonnie, Foxy and the twins were waiting for them.

"You ok?" Bonnie tried to comfort her

"I guess..."

"Would you like me to walk you home?" He smiled

"Please." She said it quietly, almost inaudiably, looking down and avoiding eye contact as much as possible. She didn't want to seem weak, she'd shown enough.

The two signed out at reception and began walking. They reached the house in silence.

"Please, come in... Claire isn't home today and she's working tonight... Do you and the others want to stop over tonight?"

"She wouldn't mind, would she?"

"Bonnie, trust me... She told me, 'as long as you don't leave the house a mess, you can do whatever' and I stay true to my word! she doesn't really care." Shad laughed "Anyway, I'm just gonna go wash my hair and get changed... I wont be long." she smiled and ran upstairs.

Bonnie began looking around the house. Not being nosy, just... Inquisitive, as he put it. He noticed drawings and sketchpads. The drawings were amazing, very detailed and all signed and dated at the bottom. He felt his phone go off in his pocket. It was a message from Chica.

Shadow wandered downstairs in a pale blue shirt and black leggings, with a grey 'Autumn Academy Music Studios' jacket that she was given by the school's music department last year .

"Better?" She asked

"Well...you still look good..." Bonnie looked her straight in the eyes and smiled "Still okay for the group to come over tonight?"

"Did they agree!?" She smiled brightly and Bonnie could see the enthusiasm in her eyes.

He nodded slowly and she jumped and hugged him.

"Thank you!"

"But uh...can we go pick up a few of my things? The others are gonna go straight home after school and meet us at the park but..."

"Sure, lets go now, then we'll drop it off here and go to the park and wait."

Bonnies house was quite small. There was a small blue car parked on the drive-way. He opened the door and let Shadow in, closing the door behind them.

"Hey, Mil, I'm staying over at Shad's tonight with the others, okay?" Bonnie yelled

"Who's Shad?" A voice came from another room.

"A new friend."

"Why you home so early?"

"She got attacked and I took her home..."

"Wait, wait wait wait.... what?" A tall figure appeared through a doorway on their left. She had purple hair, like Bonnie and similar eyes. "Oh, you must be Shad, I presume?"

"Yes, I am." She said very quietly.

"Oh, Bonnie! She's adorable. You say she got attacked? Who in their right mind would attack this?"

"Most people in school... They uh... They all hate me for something my dad did years ago..." she spoke timidly.

"Hm? Is that so?"

"The name Afton ring any bells?" Shad asked, looking down

"Oh...Oh! I'm sorry."

"Its fine. He was an idiot. Didn't tell me until the police came, knocking on the door...Years after. I couldn't believe it at first. He must have doen it either before I was born, or shortly after. I didnt have a clue! And then they caught him several years later. I watched him lose his sanity, if I'd have realised, I'd have helped him, mentally, but it was already too late..." a single tear fell down Shadow's cheek.

Bonnie and Mil exchanged worried glances before comforting her.

"Oh, honey, its fine! He got caught and you're okay and that's all that matters!" Mil told her, calmingly.

"I just...I feel guilty for his actions, and now I bear the name of a sick psychopath!" she said, angry. "Anyway... Thanks."

"For what?" Bonnie and Mel asked in unison

"That... What you just told me... it really helped." she smiled "And Bonnie and his friends are the only ones who have actually talked to me in years! I mean, aside from Claire."

"Well, we're always here for you. Lets go get my things, shall we?"

It didn't take long for Bonnie to pack up a few things before they began walking back to Shadows house.

"Thanks, Bonnie." she smiled then then walked in, before hugging him.

"Glad I'm doing something right then!" he laughed back.

"C'mon then, dork. Its nearly half three! They'll be packed and at the park in no time if they've already had half an hour!" She laughed.

'Its wonderful to see her smile. she looked so upset and lonely this morning.' Bonnie thought to himself, before they started to race to the park...
