"Night two..." She was sat on a table again, waiting for midnight.
Music rang through the hall, a distant clock chimed and a mechanical whirring began. Heavy footsteps echoed through the building as the last of the other employees left, leaving Shadow alone, once again, with the animatronics.
"Morning guys, Imma head off to the main office for a bit, join me whenever..." She said, leaving the room and sprinting towards the new office.
She dropped her bag on the floor, noticing a flashlight and playing with it, waiting for the phone call. It took a while, being almost half past twelve before the phone rang out. As per usual, she pulled a few papers and pens out on the desk, held the phone to her ear with her shoulder and began doodling.
"Ah...hello, hello! Uh, see, I told you your first night wouldn't be a problem. You're a natural!
Uh, by now I'm sure you've noticed the older models sitting in the back room. Uh, those are from the previous location. We just use them for parts now. The idea at first was to repair them...uh, they even started retrofitting them with some of the newer technology, but they were just so ugly, you know? The smell... Uh, so the company decided to go in a whole new direction and make them super kid-friendly. Uh, those older ones shouldn't be able to walk around, but if they do, the whole Freddy head trick should work on them too, so, whatever.
Uh... Heh... I love those old characters. Did you ever see Foxy the pirate? Oh wait, hold on... Oh yeah, Foxy. Uh, hey listen, that one was always a bit twitchy, uh... I'm not sure the Freddy head trick will work on Foxy, uh. If for some reason he activates during the night and you see him standing at the far end of the hall, just flash your light at him from time to time. Those older models would always get disoriented with bright lights. It would cause a system restart, or something. Uh, come to think of it, you might want to try that on any room where something undesirable might be. It might hold them in place for a few seconds. That glitch might be in some of the newer models too.
One more thing - don't forget the music box. I'll be honest, I never liked that puppet thing. It was always... Thinking, and it can go anywhere... I don't think a Freddy mask will fool it, so just don't forget the music box.
Anyway, I'm sure it won't be a problem. Uh, have a good night, and talk to you tomorrow."
By this point, she had a full page of random cartoons and was awaiting the arrival of any of the animatronics. She began going through the draws in the desk, coming across an interesting package.
'Original's memory cards'
"Huh. Oh..." She face palmed, and leaned back in the chair, just catching herself from falling. "That makes so much sense. Shad, you're an idiot. Congratulations!"
She stood up, heading towards the back room with the memory chips. The door creaked open and the dim light flicked on.
She opened the main control panel of the animatronics with ease, sliding the chips in and locking them back in place, before activating them and leaving the door unlocked.
"That might work. Hopefully..."
The office was still empty, so she continued doodling and playing music. Just before twenty past one, a light tapping went across the hall in front of her.
"Hello?"
A flash of red moved in the darkness. She realised it was Foxy, and out of cautiousness, she picked up the flashlight. As he drew closer, she tightened her grip. He was three meters away from the entrance of the office. She turned the flashlight on and shone it straight at the fox.
"Ow! Geez Shady! Turn it off. That's gonna blind me!" A familiar voice filled the empty corridors.
"Foxy! Oh my god I thought you were all gone!" She ran straight towards him, arms open for a hug. "Are you guys ok?"
"Hey, we're fine. Who fixed us up?"
"I did, you idiot. Oh god, I thought you were all gone for good."
"Why would we be?" Freddy laughed from further down the hall.
"You all had your memory chips removed, and you were all damaged. Bonnie had no face, for crying out loud!"
"Hey, we were in safe hands!"
"Yeah, and its a good job." She smiled.
Chica and Bonnie emerged from the shadows, smiling. They were human, a little messy, but alive.
Well, as alive as they could be, anyway...
"Geez, Shad! With the way you're talking, it sounds like we were beyond the grave when you last saw us."
"Oh, shut up. You had no face or arm! And none of you could remember a thing. You guys are lucky that I got bored and started going through the draws..."
They wandered towards the stage, Shadow worrying what the two groups would think of each other.
"Okay, before we go in there, new animatronics. Don't ask me... Wait here a second." She told them, walking off towards the stage. "Hi guys, Dont know if you're active?" Their heads moved to face her, so she took this as a 'yes', "Ok, I have the originals here, so don't be alarmed by them. Ok? Ok."
She pulled the others into the room, and held her breath as the two groups looked at each other.
"Guys, If you're going to be at each others necks, let me know?"
"I think we might be able to get along..." A voice came from the across the room as a tallish girl with a white and pink theme appeared.
"And who are you?" Freddy didn't sound surprised.
"Oh, sorry..." She smiled, before taking a deep breath. "I'm The Mangle!" She yelled, proudly, just as she had the night before.
"And you're loud?" Foxy finished.
"Rude." She smirked, "But yes. I see you're Foxy? Wow, I imagined you a lot more... I dont know... Bloodthirsty, with what happened?"
"Hey, hey, hey, now... We came to the conclusion that he was messed with. It wasn't his fault. Anyway..."
"Shad, I can stand my own ground, ya know?"
"And I can try to prevent fights. Right then. It's five am, so be friends and then I'll have to go. I'm working the dayshift anyway, so I wont be long..."
"Why the dayshift, of all things?" Bonnie asked, more confused than when Shad had said that she was taking the nightshift.
"More money and more time with you guys... Anyways..."
