The clock rang out as it hit 11pm. She instantly got up and pulled her hair out of the band it had got stuck in while she slept. Shadow crept out of her room as she brushed her hair and went to grab a light snack and her bag of school clothes before she left.

She began eating an apple and checked the house, picking up her keys, phone, a few coins and the chain for her bike. The door opened and she pulled the hood of her jacket up, before locking the door and fastening her bike helmet on her head, and set off down off the street. Headphones in ears, she changed the music on her phone and stuffed it back into her pocket. It didn't take long before the silhouette of Fazbears Pizzeria was in the distance. It was 11:30 by the time she had got there and tied her bike up, checking the lock was secure before opening the heavy door...

It was completely dark as she walked over to where she knew the desk was.

"Hello? Is that...uh, Shadow?" A voice called from behind the desk as a light flicked on.

"Uh, yes..."

"Ah! I was told you would come early, well, you have some documents to sign and check over, then I will give you a uniform and you can go get changed...I presume you've been here before, I understand it was your father who ran the business side of the pizzeria, and made a few animatronics?"

She nodded as he spoke.

"Well, you know where the office is? its just down that corridor, you cant miss it! Anyway, uh, onto the documents..." He pulled out a large pile of paper and handed them to her.

She glanced down and took a pen, the form started off normal as she filled it in, but she slowly realised that there was something off about it...

That was the first page...On the second, there was a paragraph about the dangers of the job:

In the event of an injury, Fazbear Entertainment will pay for insurance and any bills caused by injury to persons or items. Any vehicles or transport outside the building are left at own risk. If you are injured, Fazbear Entertainment will be held half responsible as the job was your choice to take. In the event of injury or damage to persons, the company will pay for the due course of necessary medical treatment.

There were more pages stating this information, she signed and handed the forms back.

"Ok, here's your uniform." He handed her a dark purple, almost blue shirt and matching skirt. The shirt had 'security' printed on it.

"Uh, sorry, is there any chance I could have a jacket, too?" She asked, stuttering slightly.

"Sure, go to the storage cupboard and there's a row of jackets like that, if you come early tomorrow, we need to print your name on the front, but take one for tonight!"

"Uh, thanks." She said, hurrying to the bathrooms to change. In less than five minutes, she was walking out, normal clothes in a bag and tucking her shirt into the skirt under the jacket after putting her bags in the security office. The jacket, like the shirt, had 'SECURITY', but instead, it was in big, bold letters on the back.

"Okay, there will be a call to explain what to do and your shift starts in five minutes. I wont be here for the other nights, so...I'll see you around? anyway, bye!" and the door slammed behind him.

'okay...' Shad thought as she watched the other guy sprint away fro the establishment. 'anyway, I'll go check on the group and wait up near the stage.' She walked up, footsteps echoing around the halls. The hall came into view and she sighed. '3 minutes until they go into free-roaming.' She sat on one of the long tables that was a few feet away from the wall and pulled out her phone, switching on the flashlight. She lay down and put the phone on her chest and began making shapes with her hands. 11:59. Shadow-puppets loomed over her as she laughed while making them.

12:00

The bell sounded the beginning of her shift. The animatronics turned towards her and walked over, but she never noticed.

"Shadow?"

She fell backwards off the table, yelling something unintelligible and hitting her head on the wall.

"Uh, was that meant to be English?"

"Or any language?" Bonnie added quickly.

"Oh my god Freddy!" She yelled "You scared me half to bloody death! Geez..."

"...okay..."

Foxy came from behind the curtain for Pirates Cove and ran towards them, Gold following.

"Uh, guys... she might be less frightened if you were... ya know, human?" Gold looked at them, laughing slightly before turning to see Shadow, shaking, half underneath the table.

"Look, lass," Foxy transformed into human form first "Ya know we won't hurt ya! Its just us." He laughed as Shad picked herself up off the floor.

"I...I knew that!" she stuttered.

"Sure yas did..."

"I did!" She shouted again as Freddy finally became human.

"I take it you know your way around this place?" a voice echoed from behind her.

"Excuse me? Which absolute freaking idiot asked that?" She yelled, swiftly turning to face Freddy and Gold, both of which had moved behind her.

Freddy slowly raised his hand and looked at the face Shadow was making, unable to decide what emotion she was showing.

"Ask a dumb question like that again, Fazbear," She smiled in a slightly psychotic way, "-and I will not hesitate to get my stick, bat or shovel...whichever's closest will do..."

"And, please, enlighten me! What's a 12-turning-13 year old gonna do?"

"You don't want to ask that question...Unless you want pain?" She smiled again.

"Okay...Moving on from scary Shadow..." Chica said, slightly scared, "Ca-"

She was interrupted by Shadow once again falling off the table she had just turned and sat on, but this time she was on the floor in hysterics.

"You- You guys...You guys should have seen your faces!" She was trying to speak, but it was hard to hear her above the constant laughing. This went on for half an hour before she finally stood up, now just about calm.

"Do you want some help, Shady kid? Like, mental help?" Foxy gave her a gentle push into Chica.

"One, I think I might be alright and two...Don't call me that!"

"Uh, what?"

"Shady kid."

"It suits ya, lass!"

"I can see where he's coming from on that, Shady."

"Bonnie! Don't you join in!" She gave them both the death stare.

"Anyway, aren't ya expecting a call, Shady?" Chica chirped in.

Shadow turned quickly and darted off to the office to hear the phone ringing, the others following her. She picked up the phone with a shaking hand and answered it, putting it on speaker...

"Uh, hello, hello? Well, if you're hearing this, then chances are you've made a very poor career choice..."
