5. Complications.

"It's nothing like that Dr. Bose. Why will I hide anything?" Dr. Singh says. "I never told you are hiding something!!" Sona asks suspiciously. "See Dr. Singh... Being a doctor isn't it your duty to be faithful towards your patient!!" she adds. "Sona Di..." Nikki calls her from Dev's room. "I know you are hiding something.... And I will find it out..." she fumes at Dr. Singh and leaves for Dev's room. "Riya Di's hand is bleeding..." Nikki says pointing at Riya's bleeding fist. "No it's nothing... It'll be fine..." Riya declares. "You both brother and sister are so similar." Sona fumes pulling out first aid box and does her dressing. "How you got hurt?" she asks while Riya was busy in making faces. "She was collecting the pieces of broken lamp..." Nikki says in between. Sona's eyes fell on Dev who was lying unconscious on his soft bed.

"I did hurt bhai" Nikki sighs in sadness sitting beside him. "No Nikki. Doctor said it's just stress right!! Might be some work load!!" Sona lies. "Sona Di. Bhai is changed.... I mean he behaves weird in office. He don't attend meetings these days. He wants me to learn everything in one day." Riya complains. "I try my best Di. But trust me how can I be like Bhai!! No one can be like him." she sighs. "Okay let's not disturb him.... And you two stop blaming yourself. I told you it's just work stress and nothing else." Sona's tone was ordery a bit.

"By the way Di. That assistant with Dr. Singh today came to meet bhai." Riya declares. "What!!!" Sona was surprised. "Yes.. And when I entered in his cabin Bhai's face turned pale. Like I interrupted in between..." she says remembering about the moment. "Ah... Aunty ji's reports I had sent through him to Mr. Dixit." Sona lies again. "Oh no..." Nikki interrupts in between joining both of them after standing from beside him. "What happened?" Riya and Sona asks. "Maa will panic after knowing his condition.... But we should inform her otherwise she'll scold us..." Nikki says searching for Ishwari's number to dial. "No..." Sona hurriedly says taking her phone from her hands. Riya and Nikki looks at her surprised. Sona recalls how Dev didn't wanted to tell anything to Ishwari. So she decided to talk to him very firstly. "Dr. Singh said that it's only stress, isn't it? And by the way Neha's marriage is tomorrow. We should not bother her this time." Sona makes them understand. She wanted to be confirm about everything. "Okay now let's leave him to rest. You two go and don't tell anything to anyone about what had happened." Sona warns and both the girl agrees leaving the room. Sona turns to glance him once before leaving. She moves towards him and sits holding his hand. "I'm here Dev.... With you.... Always" she places a gentle kiss on his forehead.

She hears Ishwari's car horn. She gets up hurriedly and rushes outside picking up her bag. But alas.... She met Ishwari. "Nutrition... You still here!!" Ishwari asks surprisingly. "Your... Dinner chart... I.. I was just going." she gulps in fear. "Has Dev arrived?" she asks. "Yes Aunty ji but you can't meet him." Sona's tongue slips. "Now you will tell us when should we meet our son!!" RadhaRani fumes. "Mamiji..." Nikki interrupts. "Actually bhai is sleeping. Maa.. He was having headache so he's sleeping. I don't think we should disturb him." she manages everything. Sona sighs. "How headache!! Is he fine!!" she gets worried. "No maa. Let's not disturb him. After all he's so stressed out these days." she suggests. "Yes of course.... When son grows up he needs to keep space from his family." Ishwari sighs in disappointment glaring Sona who was totally unaware of her taunts. "No Aunty ji... It's nothing like that." Sona tries to speak but was cut in between by Ishwari. "Tomorrow is his sister going to marry and today... He doesn't even wants to meet anyone of us." says Ishwari. "By the way you can leave." RadhaRani fumes. Sona fakes a smile and leaves gesturing Nikki to handle everything.

"But Dev never did this." Ishwari is worried. "Why today!! I hope he's fine." She says worriedly. "Is it because of Sonakshi? Is she separating my son from his family?" she thinks about the night Dev was murmuring Sona's name. "Maa here's your medicine" Riya says entering in her room. "Don't worry Maa. Bhai is fine... He was just restless so Sona Di asked him to grab a some sleep." Riya lies thinking that Sona is a doctor and Ishwari will understand her considering but here... It was going in the wrong way. Ishwari is upset thinking about Sona is such an important part of his life that he didn't even bothered to meet his mother and his sister who's going to marry tomorrow!!

The next morning. Neha's marriage day.

As everyday Sona enters in his room closes the door and sits beside him caressing his head. "Dev..." she says softly. He was still in the position she has left him. "Good morning Mr. Obhodro" she hisses brushing his cheeks from hers. He sighs turning to her. She smiles. "Mr. Obhodro...." she gently kisses his cheeks. "I know life was never soft to you Dev... Aunty ji wants you to be with her on her daughter's wedding day. Neha wants you to be with her on this auspicious day...  And Nikki, Riya.... Both wants him to be their cool brother. Your staffs wants you... You are the inspiration of so many youngsters. And this all isn't easy my superman." she caresses his cheeks. "But no one wants to know what you want. Everyone is busy in fulfilling their own wishes.....  I do care Dev." she says slightly kissing his upper lip. "Hmm..." He finally speaks in his sleep. She smiles at his innocence. "What hmm Mr. Obhodro..... Get up soon I'm waiting to start our day together" she hisses pretending to scold him, playing with his ruffled hairs. He slowly opens his eyes again to find the most beautiful morning moments. He smiles and she too. "Good morning" He says getting up. "How're you feeling now?" she asks and he reminds about last night. "Oh... Sonakshi... I mean... Miss... Miss. Bose.... You... I asked you stay away from me last night. Remember?" He asks trying to sound rude. "Sshhhh...." she shushes him placing her sharp carved lips on his plumpy ones. He was shocked while she kept her work on. He felt so relieved... So unburdened... So light. Her touch is so beautiful... Her smell is so beautiful... Her soft sucking lips is so heavenly. It's so hard for him to make her away from him. He's mesmerized again and again. He falls for her again and again.

She detaches herself after making sure his silent face is mesmerized for her. "I don't want to talk about yesterday. It's just today and it's just..... Us." she hisses fanning his cheekbone. "Sonakshi... I'm sorry...". "Sshhhh.." she places her forefinger on his lips. "Now get up be ready and enjoy today. Your little sister is getting married today after all!!" she says in a gentle tone. "Oh yes Neha's marriage... Oh no... Is it late... Oh no no... I should have woken up earlier..." He jumps out of bed with jerk. "Relax Dev Doctor has given you injection." she says worriedly. "Injection!! Doc... Doct.... Doctor had arrived here?" He asks hesitantly as he's worried about has Doctor disclosed everything about him? Was his Secret wasn't a secret anymore!! "What.... Ahem what he said!!" Dev tries to act normal but Sona understands he's hiding something. And he knows about Dr. Singh. "Nothing just you take so much stress" she fakes a smile. He sighs relievingly.

Sona reaches with her family and everyone greets them. She saw Dev quite uncomfortable. Although he knew the bright lights were irritating him because of his disease. "Just few moments Mr. Obhodro... And I'll cure your every pain" she thinks mischievously. Dev who's deeply busy in marriage preparations. She grabs his hand and drags him in a corner. "Sonakshi what is this childishness now!!" He asks. "I've brought something for you..." she happily says giving him a tiny box to open. He opens and finds a batch in it. "Wow" He likes it. She smiles. "You liked it!!" she asks happily. "Of course. This is beautiful." He replies. "See it's a pair of my batch" she shows her batch which was fixed on her saree. "Let me make you wear it..." she says taking it from his hand. She admires his tall figure in ethnic wear. Slowly she fixes on the chest of his sherwani meanwhile he's busy in glancing the most beautiful thing of his life. "So now.. My to be husband" she chirps realizing his smile fading away because of his helplessness. "Now you look Dr. Sonakshi Bose's dashing husband." she says in a dramatic way enough to bring a smile back on his face.

Suddenly her phone rings. "Who's on the call?" He asks. "Ah... My old friend" she lies. Ishwari calls Dev and Sona picks up the call.

"Hello Jatin"

"Yes Sona... The assistant you were talking about..."

"Yes Dr. Singh's assistant. What he said? Where is he?"

"Sona I found him and he's ready to meet you."

"Fine. Keep him with you I'm coming..."

"Sona wait.... Is everything alright?"

"That's what I have to find out Jatin"
