27. Her little secret, she craved for.

"Dev?"

"Sonakshi....." and he breaks down.

"Dev.... Dev..... Where are you..... What is happening?" she was worried. She cries out.

"Sonakshi..... Please..... Please save me...... I'm...... I'm kidnapped...... They're...... They're torturing me...."

"Dev.... Please relax and tell me what's happening?..... Please stay calm and tell me..... I promise I'll help you...."

His snivelling lessens, he tries to concentrate on her questions and replies, "They're planning to kill me very soon..... They wanted to torture me and see me begging for life.... That's why..... I'm trapped. Please..... Please save me..... I want to live."

"Dev.... Where are you?" she tries to hold her tears as she realised it was making him weak.

"I'm.... I'm in Mumbai only...... I don't know where..... But.....it might be some railway station...... I don't know.... Ple-" as he was talking someone punches on his face.

Sonakshi remains silent as to not let the kidnappers get alerted. She keeps hearing everything.

"How dare you used my phone?" says he. Dev's nose was bleeding now. And he was laying on the floor. "And how you got to open the ropes?" yells the person and snatches his hair.

Dev, who was badly tired was huffing. He was hungry and thirsty as well.

Sonakshi was now happy to know that Dev was alive but worried as well.

The next night, the number remains unreachable. And she was tensed.

As she was roaming restlessly, Ishwari enters inside.

"What happened?" she asks while handing over a glass of milk to Sonakshi.

"Maa..... I...... I have a news......." says Sonakshi. She was really worried and confused about whether to tell her about Dev or not.

"Yes say?" she asks.

"It.... It.... It's about....."

"About?"

"About Dev, Maa"

And this shakes Ishwari a little. She was hating him for crossing his limits but of course like any other mother, she wanted his son to be with her. But alas, he left everyone.
Then what's she talking about? What does she want to tell me?

"What is it Sonakshi?" asks Ishwari who was really suspicious.

"Maa..... He.... He's...."

"Maa...." both of them looks at the door, Riya was standing with a drop of tear in her eyes. "Maa..... I want to tell you something......" she weeps.

"What has happened to both of you?" Ishwari was confused.

"Maa.... Bhai..... Bhai was ill." says Riya.

"Ill?" Ishwari asks.

"Maa.... He was suffering from a disease....which would have killed him..... That's why.... He was behaving abnormal towards his family. He.... He wanted no one to know anything about it..... But...."

Ishwari sits on bed in shock. Sonakshi was weeping all this while.

"But" Riya continues, "Bhabhi knew everything." she cries pointing at Sonakshi.

Ishwari gives Sonakshi a shock glare.

"Yes Maa.....and this accident was all planned..... He did not died in the accident..... But because of that disease." says Riya.
