23. Secret and them.

"How dare you" Riya slapped Mr. Oberoi and this shook him upside down.

Dev has planned to make Mr. Oberoi confess about everything he was planning against him and his family.

After throwing him away, Riya turned towards Dev.

He was silent and all his and Sonakshi moments were playing before him. "Bhai." she shook his shoulder but he was lost in her thoughts. "Bhai please listen" she cries as it was the worst part he was going through.

Even his sharp headache did not made him respond or cry or shout. "Bhabhi should not have done this!! She's a doctor.... How can she hurt her patient, when he's her own husband!!" she cries and keeps shaking Dev.

Suddenly his phone buzzes and Riya sees Sonakshi's number flashing on screen. But before she grabs to pick up, Dev answers the call.

"Hello Dev"

"Hmm"

"What happened? You're fine right?"

"....ya....Just.....Just a headache......"

"Don't worry I'm coming..... I'll be there in minutes, we'll go for check up... Okay?"

"........"

"Dev??"

"Umm.....ya....Ya.....Okay" and he disconnects.

She feels suspicious about his behaviour and rushes in to her car ordering driver to take her to his office.

"Bhai....... What have you done!!! She has played with your emotions!!" Riya was in tears. "If not you.... I'll definitely ask about it. How dare she lied you about your situation?"

"You will not say anything to her" He announces.

Riya remains shocked.

"She.......She did this...... For me. To save me!!" He cries. "I'm..... I'm no one to punish such soul, who lied to me..... For me. What had she done? I have compelled her to tell this lie." He cries while Riya was still shocked. "You know my Sonakshi..... Never lies...... But see" He finally feels dizzy and looses his balance. Riya holds him and he keeps standing and talking, "But today she lied! To the most important person of her life...... I was so foolish...... I wish I've died while attempting suicide"

"Bhai please" she gasps.

"No Riya..... Don't..... I really deserve death..... And that's what I'll be getting soon. But promise me" He cups her face. "Promise me Riya.... You'll never tell this to her. I want to see her happy. And it is only possible when I will keep this, a secret. She's happy and I will not ruin it at any cost" He holds his head and squeezes his eyes as the sharp pain grows, he sweats and huffs.

"Promise me Riya....." He demands.

"Bhai....."

"Promissssee Riya?"

"Fine" she gives up crying and he finally falls on the floor.

"Devvv" Sona's voice makes him look at her. He smiles faintly. His eyes damped quickly. "Dev..... Nothing will happen..... Let's rush..." she commands Dev and he smiles at her bossy tone.

"Aahh" He moans in pain and she searches for his medicines.

"Dev.... Keep your eyes open" she begs patting his cheeks and orders Riya to search the medicine.

He moans again.

"Dev.... Keep calm.... Relax your mind and look at me....." she was smiling to encourage him that he'll be fine, and he smiled to encourage her that he was fine.
