22. Truth comes out

"Dev...." Sonakshi gasps when she finds him standing in front of her. It was the next morning after the treatment.

"Sonakshi...." He cups her face and wipes her tears. "I'm sorry Dev..... It must be hurting right? But this is the treatment...." she sniffles and cups his face. "But I'm with you Dev..... I promise" her voice was filled with a confidence. "Sshhhh Sonakshi...." He shushed her and kissed her forehead.

"Destiny has gifted me a life!! And moreover with you..... I promise I can bear any pain for us. Don't be sorry...... You're always my strength" He shakes her shoulder and she keeps glaring in his orbs. They were so excited to live, they seemed so desperate to live!

"I trust you" He smiles again kissing her forehead and takes her in a quick hug.

"I'm sorry Dev..... I'm feeling so guilty as your excitement is growing up......." she thinks in her head.

"You need to rest Dev....... Let's go" says she and holds his hand to take him out of hospital.

Sonakshi was sleeping beside him and he was wide awake, thinking about Mr. Oberoi. How is he going to deal with Riya and Mr. Oberoi and his family?

He gets out of bed although he was having a headache as because of the shock treatment. But he ignored and was standing near the window.

His whole life was playing in his head while he was glaring at the night sky.

A sudden tear forms blurring his vision.

He sits on the couch and glances the most beautiful thing he has, Sonakshi. She was sleeping like a queen. "I'm so lucky to have you" He speaks to himself while a smile plays on his lips.

He sits beside her and her sleep gets disturbed by the movement on bed. As she realizes that it's Dev who is struggling to sit beside her. She keeps pretending to be slept. "Sonakshi..." He holds her hand and caresses her knuckles. "....I used to say that I love you...... But you always proved it." He kisses her knuckles while her eyelids gets filled up with sudden watery layer. "I always said that I'm there....... But you always proved it....." his voice was heavy and tear drops kept brimming down his cheeks and rested on her knuckles.

"You know...... This life is given by you only" He says and on this she opens her eyes. "Oh I'm sorry...... I've disturbed your sleep" He feels bad. "Stop it Dev" she says softly taking his chin to make him face her. "What nonsense were you talking about? You don't need to proof that you love me and care for me!!" she scolds. "Don't you dare to say these things otherwise I'm not going to talk to you anymore" she blackmailed. He smiles and keeps his head on her lap saying, "Don't be Dr. Obhodro" He chuckles and she smiles playing with his hair.

"You must be having a headache right?" She asks. "A little bit" He replies. "Tumi ekta impossible..... You've just arrived from the hospital, you've just suffered a shock treatment Mr. Superman!! Why aren't you sleeping?" she scolds. He takes a deep breath and cuddles in her lap. "So it's a severe headache?" she asks in a scolding tone. "Kind of" He shrugs.

"Dev.... Why you've done this? You should tell me about your headache!!" she scolds and he keeps silence. "Dev... I'm talking to you"

"I've already troubled you so much Sonakshi......" He sighs turning his back towards her while his head was still on her lap. "Dev.....". "No Sonakshi please........ Every newly married wife is so much pampered by everyone from her new house...... But see...... Even in love marriage, I can't help you to be happy." He wipes his tears while a new watery layer was forming in her eyes as well.
