10. The life-turning decision

"Sona Di please tell me what's going on!!" Riya asks shaking Sonakshi to answer her. "Riya...." she lets a tear roll down her cheeks. "I want my answers...." yells Riya.

"He's.... He's.... He's doing this... To make you all Independent..." Says Sona turning away from her. "But what made him do so...." Riya was furious. Sona was already stressed out about Dev's health and now Riya was making her compell to break the promise. "Can't you understand... He's stressed out with all of you...." fumes Sona which makes Riya silent all sudden. "And he's in this state because of you all.... Your irresponsible family!!" she was angry and out of control of words. Though in a way she is right but she's sounding so straight forward! "What!!" Riya gasps. "Yes.... You all should have been quite normal as a family! He was only burdened because of his family!!" she should control her words but no one was there to make her realize that! Not even her love for whom she was fighting.

Riya was soft heartened though her words effects her a lot. How can she be burden on his bhai!! How can their mother be burden for him!! And this all was explained by an outsider! Sona!

The next day. As always he gets up to find Sona right beside him, staring lovingly with a hope in her eyes. "How are you feeling now?" she asks caressing his forehead. He smiles weakly. "Better..." Says he getting up meanwhile she arranges the pillows behind him to make him comfortable. "You know why I don't want to die?" He asks holding her hand to sit near him. "Because I don't want to miss these beautiful mornings...." He says tucking her hair behind her ear. She blushes and feels emotional at the same time. She hugs him abruptly as she doesn't wanted to show her tears. "Stop your nonsense..." she whispers in a fuming tone. He smiles embracing her back.

Something clicks in his mind all sudden and he asks "What about Riya?". She widens her eyes and stops caressing his back. "Come on get ready.... We need to go at a very special place" she chirps ignoring to tell truth. "I'm asking about Riya..." He gives a stern look. "Today you'll get all your answers..." She smiles kissing his forehead while he looks a confused. "First tell me one thing..." she asks. "What?" He replies. "Do you trust me?" It was not a difficult question for him but still he was confused. He knew something is going in her head. "More than myself..." He says with a sudden smile appeared in his face. "Then only for a week.... Don't ask anything to me. No questions... Nothing" she orders childishly. "And what if I don't?" He asks teasingly. "Then I'll disclose your secret." she warns. Dev finds it weird but ignores as he knew she's a weird creature after all! "Okay done..." Says he acting to zip up his mouth.

Their car halts in front of an office. Dev's eyes were closed as it was Sona to tie the black cloth around his eyes. He was desperate to know about what she's going to do.

She makes him come outside the car and orders driver to be present when called. "Sona what are you doing?" He asks unable to control his curiosity. "Relax Dev we've reached almost!!" she replies.

She removes the cloth and he finds himself in front of a mid age person in black uniform and is busy with some files. "Next...Mr. Dev Dixit and Dr. Sonakshi Bose" says he looking into the file. Dev's eyes widened in amazement as his weirdness had made them to stand in the court room. "I said.... Next..... Mr. Dev Dixit and Dr. Sonakshi Bose...." the mid age person sounds irked this time. "Yes present.." Sona excitedly says and holds his hand to reach near the person. "Mr. Dev Dixit and Dr. Sonakshi Bose.... Here you have to sign..." Says the person offering pens to them. Dev had no idea about the papers but Sona was excited. "But what's this?" He asks whispering to Sona. "Court marriage" He was all amazed listening her. "Dev.... I know this is wrong.... But I want to be your wife.... Please Dev.... I want to be only yours." she requests. "But this isn't any game Sona.... Parents and guardians? What about them?" He asks totally confused with the situation. "Where's your witness?" asks the person. "He's on the way" says Sona. "Okay... It's break time... You need to wait for an hour." He says getting up of the chair and leaves the room. "Sona... This is wrong..." He says. "We don't have time.... And I want to spend each minute with you...." she says convincing him. "Don't forget... You trust me...." she says. "I'm not forcing you Dev.... I want to be with you... Just with you.... It's your decision at the end.". "Sona... I love you.... But...". "....But?". He remains silent.

"Are you ready?" Someone enters in between their conversation. "Yes..." replies Sona hugging the Elena. "Hi Dev" she says looking at the shocked Dev. "Hi..." He only gives a lip peck smile. The person again enters inside and slips in his chair. "So witnesses has arrived!!" He asks while comforting himself. Dev was still restless on Sona's decision. "Yes..." replies Sona. She looks at Dev who was lost in his own world. How can he do this!! Without his Maa, he's all useless. How can he betray her!! How can he take such a big step!!

"Anyone from Groom's side?" asks the person. "Yes...." a voice enters which makes him shocked. Sona rushes to hug the person while Dev was more shocked. "Thank you Riya...." she whispers. Riya smiles.
