24. The Decision.

She feels a cuddle in her chest. His face was hidden in her chest and was covered by the soft white sheets.

"Dev" she mumbles and removes the duvet softly from his face, and then rolls her fingers in his hair.

It was a month before she has shifted both of them in private apartment in different Kerala. She never allowed him to take any stress and her love was all for his breakdowns.

He, even, knew that he isn't going to survive anymore and still he was doing everything as per her instructions. He wanted to tell her that he knows the truth but her glittery, hopeful eyes were all to make him silent.

"Dev..." she softly kisses on his forehead. His face was now comparatively dull, eyes were baggy, he wasn't getting proper sleep and this has made his body pale. His headaches had grown unbearable now and his white skin was wrinkled a bit.

He was sleeping from about last ten hours, and still was seemed to sleep soundly.

It was because of his sleeping disorder.

"Dev" she softly rubs her thumb against his cheek. It was so painful for her to watch him struggling everytime. She was a doctor and still she has kept herself in a false hope. She was believing in her own created illusion.

Her phone buzzes and Dr. Singh's name flashes onscreen.

She never wanted to pick up the call, but still did.

"Hello"

"Hello Dr. Bose..... How are you?"

"Fine..... And how about Dev's report?"

"Well..... I would say the same thing even now!"

"Dr. Singh"

"Dr. Bose please try and understand."

"I can't lose Dev at any cost Dr. Singh. Please..... I just can't"

"I understand Dr. Bose..... But there's only a month left. I think you should inform his family." Dr. Singh suggests.
"I'll talk to you later" saying this she disconnects the call.

She looks at Dev, her world. What would she do without him! How can she even imagine future without him.
"Hmm..." he mumbles in sleep. Removing the duvet away from himself. She smiles on her own seeing him behaving like a kid.

"Stop staring at me like that Dr. Bose" he murmurs with his eyes half opened. "You have no idea how cute you look while sleeping" She whispers coming closer to his lips.

"Oh really" he grabs her waist and pulled her on him. She smiles saying "I hate you for this" and he places a soft kiss on her cheeks saying "and I love you for everything". She blushes.

"Can you do me a favour?" she asks.

"On your service highness!!" he chuckles.

"Let us inform your family about you!"

He loses the grip on her waist and she sits observing his upset face.

"Dev please..... They have a right to know about this"

"And I have certain reason Sonakshi"

"I know...... You're hiding this just because they'll get hurt...... But imagine Dev how tough can it be for Maa if she will suddenly come to know about it?"

"We have talked about this Sonakshi. All you need is to be with me"

"I am always. But think about Maa for once."

"I have no guts to tell her that I'm leaving without completing any of my responsibility. I can't....." he shuts his eyes.

"Dev please..... They'll hate you"
