Zane Cools The Scene

After the four split up to find Lloyd and Kai, Zane and Nya look in areas Kai could've possibly have gone to. When the two find torn fabric leading to the training room, they exchange glances before rushing off to the training room. Upon entering the dark training room, Zane's head lit up and illuminated the area around them.

"I sense Kai was here. He could be in the room still." Zane says. Nya nods and looked to the far corner of the room. As she slowly walked to the corner, she pulled out what seemed like a sheet. "Come on Kai! Can't you come out for your own sister? We're all worried about you and Lloyd!" Nya shouts. She turns around to see Zane behind her. But something was different with him.

He grabbed her and ran out of the room and burst into another room. Jay, Cole and Lloyd jump in surprise when Zane and Nya enter. "Nya!" Jay says letting Lloyd drop from his lap. "Ow! Let me know when you decide to jump up and drop me next time." Lloyd grunts. Jay gave Nya a hug but Zane cast a purple light from his eyes.

"Zane, did you and Nya find any traces of Kai?" Cole asks. "No. But Nya found a sheet in the training room. It has seemed like Kai has left the monastery. I cannot sense his presence in the nearby vicinity." He concluded. "Great! Now we lost Kai! And why are your eyes purple Zane? I thought they were blue." Jay says.

Zane shrugged but the five ninja describe what has happened so far. "Wait. You heard Garmadon?" Cole asks. Lloyd nods. "I really wish he was here. I could've spent Halloween with him, my mom, and Uncle Wu. But my mom is busy at the museum and Sensei is busy meditating. I came in here to find something to feel close to my father." He says

The others watch as tears begin to stream from Lloyd's eyes. "Lloyd, we will always have your back no matter the cost. Its not about numbers, its about family. I sometimes wish I could've had my father forever. But he left me the falcon. You are our brother and we will make your Halloween experience the best." Zane says.

They gather around Lloyd to give him a hug when the room began to heat up. "Why is it so HOT!?" Jay yells. A hooded figure breaks down the window and Zane covers Lloyd with pillows. "Why the pillows Zane? That'll make me get hotter." Lloyd says. Zane, Cole, Nya, and Jay surround Lloyd and face the person. "Kai, I know that's you! Just tell us why you're doing this?" Nya shouts.

Sure enough Kai takes the hood off but he seems to be wearing his costume still. "Kai, there's no need for violence. Please cool down before we must defend ourselves." Zane called out. "All I wanted to do was give Lloyd the best trick I could think of. And it requires for him to come with me. Or I might as well take Zane apart if you do not cooperate." Kai says. Lloyd looks at Kai's eyes and noticed they weren't the red from his costume's contacts.

"Guys, we should run..." Jay says. Kai sees Lloyd and sends a fireball towards him. Nya and Zane shot water and ice to block the fire while Cole and Jay took Lloyd out. "Kai really needs to turn down the heat. Its almost like the monastery is burning." Cole says. Lloyd looks behind them and Kai was running towards them at full speed. "Run!" Lloyd shouts. They took off and when they got outside of the monastery, Sensei Wu, Zane, and Nya were already outside. Everyone watches as the monastery burned.

"Aw come on! We just rebuilt it from the last fire." Jay shouts. "But what about Kai? I'm not losing my brother because of this. And what's going to happen to our Halloween party?" Nya asks. Jay and Nya hug each other while Zane stopped most of the fire. "I will search for any trace of Kai inside. Perhaps he was knocked out by taking in too much smoke." Zane says. Nya nods and Zane heads back inside the monastery.

Zane walks around to see that Kai was waiting for him. "Kai, are you okay? Why did you set the monastery ablaze?" He asks. Kai turns around and Zane saw him smirking. "This could've been avoided if Lloyd was given to me. But let's get this over with." He says. Zane was about to run but was powered down hearing Kai's laugh. "Sleep well Zane. This is one trick you can't escape from on Halloween." And then everything was black.
