'Where are you going?' Demi asks quietly as she watches Wilmer drop his bag and turn around to face her.

'I'm leaving.' He replies softly.

'L-Leaving? What do you mean?' She asks.

'I've moving to New York permanently. We can't keep doing this, Demi. We're killing each other.' He says as tears fill her eyes.

'Y-You don't want me?' She asks causing him to sigh.

'I didn't say that; I will always want you but this isn't healthy, Demi. We can't keep sneaking around without deciding what we are. It isn't fair on any of us.' He replies reaching forward to wipe a tear from her cheek.

'I need you.' She almost whispers.

'No you don't; you think you need me because I've been here for the past six years but you're so much stronger than you think. I will still only be a phone call away and you can phone me whenever you need to but you're strong, you can do this.' He says and she shakes her head.

'Don't go, Wil... Please don't go.' She cries watching as he closes his eyes for a few seconds before looking back at her.

'One of us needs to do this, Dems. We split up so that you could figure out who you are without me... Us still sleeping together isn't letting you figure that out and if I stay in LA we'll keep sleeping together so I have to go.' He says brushing a tear from her cheek as she leans into his touch.

'Please...' She almost whispers.

'I love you, nena.' He says.

'Then don't leave me.' She replies quietly causing him to sigh.

'I have to... You'll thank me for this one day, I promise.' He says and she shakes her head.

'I-I'll come with you. I could move to New York.' She replies.

'Your life is here, nena. Your label is here and your friends are here.' He says watching as she bites her bottom lip.

'But you're not.' She replies.

'Now just isn't the right time for us. I'm not giving up on you; I never have and I never will but I need to do this for both of us. I love you...' He says brushing his finger over her cheek.

'I know.' She replies quietly.

'I love you too.' She says.

'I'll see you soon, I promise. I'm not going to just forget about you because I'm in a different state and I hope you won't forget about me.' He replies.

'I could never.' She whispers.

'Love you.' He says kissing the top of her head before grabbing his bag and turning to make his way to the waiting cab.

'Don't leave me; you promised you'd never leave me.' She shouts, her voice breaking as she leans back against the door frame. Glancing back Wilmer's heart breaks as he watches the tears flowing freely down Demi's cheeks; he never wanted to be the one who hurt her, never wanted to be the one who made her cry and taking in her appearance he almost turns around and pulls her into his arms but he knows this is something he has to do.
