So updates from now on may get really irregular because this is the last pre-written thing I had to post. I am slowly getting back into writing whilst I'm not with baby girl but the updates will be extremely slow so once again I do apologise for that and I will try to get into a more regular schedule as soon as I can.
'What's on your mind, Dems?' Nick asks making his way into the bedroom where Demi is sitting up in bed staring at her phone.
'Do you ever think about the future?' She asks glancing up at him.
'Of course I do.' He replies.
'What do you think of when you think of our future?' She asks.
'I think about us in a nice house doing what we love.' He replies and she smiles slightly.
'Kids?' She asks and he nods his head.
'I'd love to have kids with you if that's what you want.' He replies.
'You might think I'm being really ridiculous.' She says biting her bottom lip as he sits down on the edge of the bed.
'Tell me what's going on in that head of yours?' He asks watching as she sighs.
'I-I want a baby.' She admits.
'Yeah?' He asks and she nods her head
'I've been thinking and I just think we're in a really good position to start trying for a baby. I'm at a place where I can take time off to care of the baby and your career is going pretty well. Obviously if you'd rather wait a while that's perfectly okay with me as well.' She replies causing him to smile.
'You want to try for a baby?' He asks and she sighs again.
'It was a stupid idea, sorry. Just forget I said anything.' She replies.
'No, it's not a stupid idea. I think it's a great idea but we do need to speak about it.' He says and she nods her head.
'Of course.' She replies and he moves until his back is resting against the headboard.
'So obviously we are both completely financially stable and able to raise a baby.' He says and she nods her head.
'We don't even need to move house right now; this place is more than big enough for us to raise a baby and if in a few years we decide we want to move then we can do it then.' She replies.
'And what about your medication?' He asks and she nods her head.
'I spoke to the doctor the last time I was there and she said that the risks of completely stopping my medication outweighs the risk of being on the medication.' She replies.
'You've really thought about this, haven't you?' He asks and she smiles.
'I really want this, Nick. I look at families out on the street; moms and dads playing with their babies and I want that. I want us to have that more than anything in this world.' She replies.
'Then I think you should come off your birth control.' He says and she nods her head.
'Okay then.' She replies.
______
'I know when we agreed to start trying we said we wouldn't put any pressure on ourselves and we were just going to see what happened.' Demi says placing a box down on Nick's desk as he stares at his laptop.
'But?' He asks and she smiles slightly.
'But I thought I'd buy some supplies to make things a little easier.' She replies.
'Some supplies, how much did you spend?' He asks.
'$93... I got 20 ovulation tests, some cheap pregnancy tests and few more expensive ones for if we need to double check.' She replies and he smiles slightly. Spinning around in his chair, he gently pats his knee and wraps his arms around her waist as she sits down.
'We can do this however you want to. I just don't want you to get too disappointed if it doesn't happen straight away.' He says.
'I know but I just want us to be prepared.' She replies shrugging her shoulders.
'How long did the doctor say it would take for your birth control to come out of your system?' Nick asks.
'A few weeks. She says it varies for different people.' Demi replies.
'Here's to our new adventure... Growing our little family and looking to the future.' He says kissing the side of her head as she leans back against him.
'Our new adventure.' She replies quietly.
