So as you'll notice this is set out differently from all of my other things. The stuff which isn't in italics are part of a speech while Wilmer is making and the stuff in italics are flashbacks to moments throughout the years; I hope this makes sense and I hope you enjoy it.
'Demi is one of the best things that ever happened to me. We've been together now for ten years on and off and yeah we've had our ups and downs but each memory made with you is one I will always cherish. Early on in our relationship I realised that I was always going to find it very hard to say no to Demi,'
'Come shopping with me?' Demi says rolling over until she's half resting on Wilmer's chest, her finger absentmindedly drawing patterns on his bare chest.
'Do I have to?' He mumbles, his eyes remaining closed as he reaches up and runs his fingers through the ends of her hair.
'Well no but it would mean we'd get to spend more time together before I go away.' She says brushing her lips against his jaw.
'I hate that you're going away for so long.' He replies wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her until she's lying fully on top of him.
'You can come visit whenever you have time off. I love having you there to watch me perform.' She admits causing him to smile. He finally opens his eyes and glances at her as she rests her chin on his chest.
'I love watching you perform. Do you really want me to come shopping? I'll come if you want me to but then there is the chance that we'll get papped.' He says and she shakes her head.
'No but can we do something? I don't want to spend another day in bed.' She replies causing him to smile.
'We can do whatever you want, my love.' He says kissing the top of her head.
'We haven't had the easiest relationship and at times it's seemed so much easier to walk away than to keep fighting but I know we're always going to make it work.'
'I don't know how long we can keep doing this, Demi. We're going to end up resenting each other if we keep living like this.' Wilmer says glancing away from Demi.
'I don't want to lose you.' Demi replies quietly.
'I don't want to lose you either, Dems. I think we need to decide if we really want to do this? Do we really want to risk ruining the friendship we have trying to make this relationship work?' He asks watching as she reaches up to wipe a tear from her cheek.
'I love you.' She says.
'I love you too and nothing will change that but if we're going to do this we need to work on the fighting because I'm so tired of arguing with you.' He replies and she nods her head.
'I-I don't know how to do this.' She admits shaking her head.
'Then we'll work it out together, okay? Relationships are never easy and we're going to have our ups and downs but at the moment I just feel like we're having more downs than anything.' He says wrapping his arms around her and pulling her closer to him.
'I want to make this work.' She almost whispers.
'Then we'll make it work.' He says.
'I'd definitely say one of the highlights of our relationship was watching your face light up when you were nominated for a Grammy. Seeing you achieve something that you had worked so hard for made me so proud and well the announcement that followed afterwards was even better.'
'Okay, thank you for letting me know.' Demi says unable to keep the smile off her face as she sits cross-legged across from Wilmer.
'Well? What's happening?' Wilmer asks as she comes off the phone and places it in front of her.
'I-Fuck this must be a dream...' She says shaking her head as tears fill her eyes and she glances up at him.
'I-I did it.' She says biting her bottom lip.
'Did what? You're not making much sense at the moment, nena.' He replies.
'I've been nominated for a Grammy.' She almost whispers. Instantly he makes his way over to her and picks her up before spinning around with her in his arms.
'Congratulations, love. I knew you could do it.' He says as she buries her head into the crook of his neck.
'You're amazing and it's about time other people realised that.' He adds putting her back down on the floor as she pulls back to look up at him.
'Will you come with me?' She asks causing him to smile.
'Of course I will.' He replies.
'I wonder if I'll have a bump by them.' She says softly reaching up to run her finger across his jaw.
'Mmm... I wonder- Wait, what did you just say? Do you mean what I think you do?' He asks and she nods her head.
'I'm pregnant; I was going to tell you tonight but I just can't wait.' She admits.
'When did you find out? Do you know how far along you are?' He asks keeping his arms wrapping around her waist.
'I found out last week. I'm around six weeks now, I think. I've got a doctors appointment next week.' She replies smiling as he leans down and brushes his nose lightly against hers.
'I love you.' He says.
'I love you more.' She replies.
'The day Madison was born everything changed; I discovered a completely different side to Demi. I knew I loved her and I knew nothing would change that but seeing her with Maddie just seemed to intensify things. I have loved watching Demi grow as a person and mother over the past five years; I've watched Madison grow into a little mini version of Demi and I absolutely love it.'
'Mommy! Daddy! Watch me!' Madison says grinning as she stands behind her toy microphone as the music begins to play.
'The snow glows white on the mountain tonight, not a footprint to be seen. A kingdom of isolation, and it looks like I'm the Queen. The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside couldn't keep it in; heaven knows I tried.'
Madison sings while swaying slightly from side to side as Demi and Wilmer watch on. Resting her head on Wilmer's shoulder Demi can't keep the smile off her face as she watches her own daughter performing like she used to do for her mom.
'She's like a mini you; she's picked up on so many little things you do n stage.' Wilmer says as Madison takes the mic of the stand and walks to the other end of the living room and continues to sing.
'We've had amazing years together and I can't imagine not having you in my life so now as we prepare to welcome our second baby I feel like there isn't any better time to ask you this.' Wilmer says dropping down onto one knee causing Demi to gasp.
'Demetria Devonne Lovato, will you make me the happiest man alive and become my wife?' He asks pulling a box out his pocket and opening it to reveal the perfect engagement ring.
'Yes!' Demi replies.
