It was like that for the next few days. They talked for hours about the mysteries of the universe and slept. They were four days in when the galra opened the door and the guards forced them to their feet. Katie's mother hid Katie behind her, eyes glaring with mistrust.

"Come with us, prisoners," one of the guards sneered. He was the only one of the four that showed his mouth and purple fur. The alien mentioned that the galra mostly had androids tend to them instead of the real aliens.

They were taken out and presented in front of two galra. One of them was broad with armor and a cape, sitting on the throne, and the other was thin with long white hair, covered by a cloak. The one standing spoke.

"We'll test your usefulness by a few tests," she said. Unlike the other garla the women was short and slightly hunched. She motioned at her mother. "First you, you seem to have a brilliant mind. Maybe we can find your usefulness before the other two. Unlike them, you seem older and different."

Her mother was dragged away, but before she was, she gripped Katie's face. "Sweetie, stay strong," she whispered with haste. With that Katie had lost her mother. The woman watched Katie's mother be dragged away, ignoring the tears in both her and Katie's eyes. When she was gone, the woman turned to them.

"Meanwhile, I'll test you two in the gladiator fight. One, hopefully both, of you will have the honor of being a test subject and our greatest weapon!" the woman informed and then snapped her fingers. They were dragged off. Katie's heart froze. They were going to what!?

The visit was fast and the supposedly short journey back to their cell, slow. All Katie could like about was her mother, her father, and her brother. Their faces circled in her head. The last conversation she had with her father and brother was a day or two before landing on Kerberos.

She remembered typing in the code that only the four of them knew. They could get in trouble, but as she once told Matt, "what Garrison doesn't know, won't hurt them." Maybe she could send one last message, but sadly Katie knew she didn't have the tools to do so. The book and all connection to the outside was confiscated.

Her mind switched to her mother. What did that alien have in mind for her mother? Would she stay okay long enough to escape. The cell was only a few feet ahead of them when Katie couldn't take it anymore. Tears rolled down her face. She didn't make a sound, though. They were just silent tears.

She was crying because the reality of the situation hit her like a truck. This wasn't some fairy tale where everything turns out alright; it was real life. She may never see her family again and who knew how long until she and Shiro would be separated. Maybe this gladiator fight would leave her all alone in this prison.

The cell opened and they were given clothes. The same as the alien. They were told to switch clothes at gunpoint. They entered the cell and it closed. The androids wanted on the other side with the galra for them to change.

"I'll face this way and you face the other way," Shiro said and she only nodded. He didn't look at her face, only where her tears fell. When they had switched clothing, Shiro knocked on the cell door. Katie shoved the picture of her and Matt into her shirt as the cell door opened. The galra took the clothes and helmet away.

With that the two were left silently in the cell. Katie melted onto the floor and pulled her knees up to her chest and cried. She felt Shiro knelt next to her and wrap an arm around her shoulder. The alien was gone too. Katie flung herself on him and cried. All he did was pat her back and hold her while she did so.

He promised her mother, father, and brother that he'd take care of her and that was what he was doing. They remained in that position even after Katie had stopped crying, she had no more tears to shed. Though, she had fallen asleep in a matter of moments and only awoke when the doors slid open.

"Its time," the galra said and they got to their feet. Katie's cheeks were pink and wet from tears, but she was determined to get this over with. Shiro patted her shoulder and they allowed the galra to lead them away.

Matt stared at his reflection. His eyes were swollen from tears and all he could hear was his father's drunken snores. He had to get into Garrison and find out what really happened to his sister and mother. He just knew that they weren't dead. He splashed water in his face and put his glasses back on.

It was time for a late night studying. He didn't care if he was stuck with the comments he got in his middle school. He'd bare with it until he could go to Garrison and find out information. No, he'd have to try to get into their database tomorrow. He couldn't afford to wait, the two could be in danger for all he could know.

The last message they received from his mother and Katie was telling them that they'd land on Kerberos the next day and to sleep when supposed to. He walked back to his room and cut his light on. He hadn't looked at a book the past week after it was broadcasted that his family and Shiro had died in space thanks to a piloting error.

He knew better, more then the others who saw. His mother, Shiro, and Katie would never let a piloting error happen. Something happened on Kerberos and he was going to find out what. Even if he hacked into Garrison to figure out. Now that he thought about it, it didn't seem like a bad idea.

He grabbed a book and began to read the pages. "Wait for me Katie, mom," he whispered.

So since there's a lot of missing information and I want to keep this as on track with the series as possible, I'll add some Matt views every now and again. Though, everything from the point the rebel fighters save Katie will be my own original guess with the few facts season four (and the others) give :)
