Katie looked at the booster from the inside. The outside portion was smoking and obviously something you would not want to touch. She grabbed a weird space tool that resembled a wrench and shoved it inside. Her worry was getting to her. Each second the condition of the ship got worse from the galra shooting.
She carefully made her way around the hot parts and repaired it enough for one jump. She never repaired a booster that pulled ships fast in space to one point from another before, but she tried her best. It was like fixing a strange motor... right?
She made her way back to the front by avoiding the panicking crowd. "I repaired it, but only enough for one jump. Choose somewhere close, but far enough. We'll have to fly back to base without the ability to jump," she explained. The pilot nodded, the red flashes lighting up an eyepatch on his face she hadn't noticed before.
He began typing an encrypted code and sent it to the command. He flipped a orange switch and spoke to all passengers over the sirens. "We are about to hyper-jump. I repeat we are about to pull a jump," he announced, his voice tight. She could hear the passengers muffled voices through the door.
They broke the planet's atmosphere and he pushed the blue button. Katie closed her eyes, hoping that it would work. She felt new type of feeling pulling on her body. Though, she never fell. When she reopened them, she found the shuttle now in front of a purple planet with green stripes.
She marveled at the sight. It reminded her of her last Halloween with her family, the one Shiro joined them on. Matt had dressed up as something from a show of his, claiming to the fighter of justice sent from the moon. Meanwhile Katie had thrown together a cyborg-witch costume at the last minute. Shiro was wearing his last year's pirate costume.
Her father, being himself, dressed up as a "cool vampire" but looked more like a pale zombie while her mother looked actually like the vampire queen, which is what she aimed for. They had gone to a haunted house before going back home, calling it a night. Katie had held strong through it, but Shiro had not.
He was clinging to her on the way out. By time they came home, Matt was hungry. That's when they made food with their candy for dessert. The dress she wore for the costume was decorated like the planet she was seeing now. She smiled to herself.
"Prepare for landing," the pilot said, his voice relieved. Kaite turned to exit before the pilot stopped her. "Thanks for saving our butts. I was doubting Te-osh's choice to hire you, but I'm glad she did." Katie nodded, despite barely being able to hear him over the siren, and returned to calm the passengers.
"It's okay! We have escaped and are about to land on a planet so we can contact headquarters," Katie informed as she walked through the entryway. The passengers relaxed a little as the red flashing and siren stopped.
The shuttle descended peacefully. When it safely touched the ground, Katie helped escort the passengers off. She viewed the damages. The wing was half-gone and there were many marks from where the ship was hit. There was even a dent where it was blasted twice. There was no fixing either until they made it back to the base.
She turned around, spotting the guy who translated talking to the aliens in their strange tongue. She turned her eyes to the area. The ground was actually a dark grey-purple and the green was large birds soaring in the air, flaunting their feathers.
She watched as peace flooded her. It didn't seem like a place that would be evil. It didn't seem like she'd have to run and hide away because of what would happen on that planet. How she was wrong
Matt hada gone through some stuff despite it being only a few days. They finally formed Voltron and were attacked by the Galra. He'd been thinking of his mother and Katie all day and now finally, the galra who was attacking had been vanquished. Lance remained in a pod to heal after the days events.
Before then, Shiro had regained his memories of Katie and her mother. Matt's mother was sent away and he saved Katie from entering the gladiator fight. He was happy that Shiro didn't end up attacking his sister like he originally thought thanks to those aliens who saw them. Matt also knows that Shiro knows he really is a guy named Matt Holt.
Currently Hunk was caught up on this alien girl who's family had been under Zarkon for so long, they don't know what freedom is like. Hunk wants nothing more then to save them and their planet from that galra empire.
"Wait. I have something to say first. I need to come clean. I'm afraid this may change the way you all think of me," Matt starting as they began to go save Shay and her people. "Just so there are no secrets between us anymore, I can 'man up, despite what Lance says. I'm a boy. I mean a girl can 'man up' because that's just a figure of speech. They don't actually have to be a man to 'man up.' They just have to be tough -- but what I'm saying --"
"What!? You're a boy!? How!?" Lance screamed from behind him. Then he turned and muttered "I regret most things I did."
"I've known for some time, but I'm glad you've shared it with everyone," Allura said, smiling at him. That sassy space princess that he originally despised now had a huge part of his heart. Matt ripped the wig off and tossed it to the side.
"Yeah, I figured," Hunk said quickly, followed up by Keith's "Oh, yeah. Me too." Matt pulled the dress over his head to reveal a green shirt and shorts. He then smiled.
"Wait, we were supposed to think you were a girl? I thought that long hair and dresses were normal for teens on earth," Coran said, leaning over Allura's shoulder.
After that he got a speech from Shiro about owning up to who you are and a whole lot of confusion and awkward talk from Lance. Yeah, this was his new family while he searched for his mom and sister...
I'M TRYING TO CATCH UP BUT I'M ON BABY DUTY TOMORROW T^T. My plan is to have last weekends' updates done by today so I can start working on this weekends' on Tuesday and Wednesday, so I'm good for Thanksgiving Thursday. Then I can update accordingly this upcoming weekend, returning to my schedule.
