Rosalie sat in her living room drinking a cup of coffee. She had an actual day off today because it was her birthday and she just wanted to do a lazy day and then go to the bar with her friends. Rosalie turned on the television, flipping to the Price is Right; a show she hadn't watched in years because she is always at work. She put her coffee cup down on the table next to her couch and then spread across it, pulling a blanket onto her body.

She woke up when she felt someone shaking her, she opened her eyes and saw Barney. She propped herself up onto her elbows and she looked at her. She saw a large box on the chair and then looked at Barney;

"I said no gifts." she complained. She sat up and pushed her hair away from her face and looked at him.

"I know. But I couldn't help it." Barney said, he handed it to her and she opened the box. She smiled as she pulled out a new coffee maker, "yours is ancient." she smiled and put the box down. She stood up and hugged Barney.

"Thanks, Barney." she kissed his cheek and went to her kitchen to set up her new coffee maker, "let me change and we can go." she went to her bedroom to get dressed before going to her bathroom to brush her teeth and fix her hair. Once finished she rejoined Barney in the living room. She went over to him and grabbed onto Barney, kissing him. When she pulled away, she smiled at him, "I really love the gift." he smiled at her.

"You deserve a legendary coffee maker from your legendary friend with benefits." Rosalie laughed and shook her head.

"Let's go, Casanova." she grabbed her purse and they left her apartment. When they got to the bar, she was surprised with a cake being on the table of their normal booth and her friends standing there.

"I'll get you a drink, birthday girl." Barney said while Rosalie went to join her friend.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" they all yelled, she smiled brightly while hugging all her friends.

"Thanks, guys." she took a seat in the booth and Barney came over with her drink, he moved into the booth next to her, "thanks." she said when Barney handed her, her drink. She took a drink of it.

"What have you done today?" Robin asked.

"Drank coffee, made pancakes, drank more coffee, laid on the couch watching The Price is Right until I fell asleep. Lazy birthdays are my favorite."

"When are you gonna see your family?" Ted asked.

"This Sunday, I'm going out there." Rosalie looked at the cake, "I'm starving so lets cut that thing." she smiled at her friends. Lily cut the cake and passed out the slices. They sat at the bar talking late into the night before slowly it was only Ted, Barney, and Rosalie.

"Can I ask you two a question?" Ted asked.

"Of course." Rosalie said, taking a sip of her drink.

"What's going on with you two? More often than not you're together." Barney laughed.

"We are friends." Barney said, "Rosalie is probably one of the greatest people on the Earth." Rosalie smiled to Barney.

"Thanks, man. You're pretty great too."

"Plus she doesn't judge me on how I get women."

"Are you guys sure? None of us would judge you if you were dating."

"We aren't dating." Rosalie said, "if anything in our relationship changes we'll let you know."

"I didn't mean to upset you." Ted said looking at her.

"I'm not upset, Ted." Rosalie told him, "since moving back, I don't know, I just; I feel closer to Barney. Lily is busy with work and being engaged. Marshall is in law school doing an internship. I don't know how to describe it."
