Carter pov
"I am sorry." She said covering her face with her shaking hands
"What? You're kidding me right? You shouldn't be sorry."
"No I should be, I probably gave you a heart attack."
"Are you ok?" She asked whipping away her tears
"I was just worried about you.. Nothing else."
" I shouldn't bring my life problems to you.. You could get arrested."
"So could he for hitting you."
"What?"
"I saw everything from miles away.... Once I got out I didn't know where I was or who I was kicking... A vision popped into my head and it wouldn't go away till I heard your voice."
"When you were kicking him you yelled 'don't fucking touch her again.' Your eyes were bloodshot.."
"I'm sorry you had to see me that way but... I was thinking and replaying the fact that someone was hurting you....made me go crazy I guess." She nodded her head in agreement, before her eyes got big and she gasped for air
"Our date!!!!"
"Yeah....."
"Oh my god....! Uh what time of person am I for forgetting our date......"
"It's ok it's only..." I turn to look at the clock
"1:30 we can still go.. But I think I should change." I looked down at the blood on the tips of my shoes
"And maybe we should go talk to your mom." I said
"Or you should. Ill wait outside just in case."
"I didn't tell her about the first time..." She said
"Ok ya we need to tell your mom." I grabbed the car keys
"But we have to be back by....." I turned around. Kalie was looking side to side.. Lip trembling ...... Her eyes began to water
"Kalie....." I whispered setting down the keys.. She stepped back against the wall
"Kalie..." She lost it.... I watched as she fell down to the floor, hitting and screaming her tears out. I walked over to her, wrapping my arms around her.
"Shh shhh shhh it's ok." Her small hands pulled my closer... Her tears sinking into my shirt.
"It's ok.." I think her mind just caught up with her, realizing what just happened in the past two or more hours...
" Kalie it's ok..." She kept on crying
"We don't have to go anywhere.. Ok?"
"No..." She said
"No what?"
"No no no!!!! I don't want to.... I can't.... I need...." Tears over flowed her words creating a blur of speech.
"Shhh Kalie I'm here it's ok.. Everything will be ok." She nodded her head and released a deep breathe before falling asleep in my arms.
