Chapter twelve (part two)

Carter pov:

I carried Kalie off to my bedroom laying her head down gently , then laying right down next to her and wrapping my arms around her hoping she didn't miss my warmth.
"Mm." I heard her say
"Kalie are.. Are you ok?"
"Mmmm." She said rolling over
"Carter...." She said meeting my eyes
"What... Where...." She said looking around
"In my room." Her eyes got big and panic ran over her face.
"Haha don't worry... We didn't do anything I promise. We haven't even been on our first date..."
"Oh ok.... Speaking about our date... Why don't we go."
"No, we.. I mean you have to much on your mind once your mind is free.. Then we can go on our date." I Leaned over and pecked her cheek.
"Well then... I will be back.. Because I want to go on that date!" She said smiling
"Where exactly are you going? It's now 4:30." I said pulling out my iPhone
" My mothers.."
" I'm coming." She nodded her head and walked off to her room. I was he she blood off my shoes, and put on a new tshirt
"Are you ready?" I said knocking on Kalie's door
"Ya..." She said walking out to the car
"Are you ok?"
"Ya..."
"Lying..."
"I know." We pulled up into her mother's driveway
"Are you ready?" I said looking at her in her eyes
"Yup." She reaches the door only to freeze and just stand there, not knocking, not moving. I walked up to her, wrapping my hands around her. I whispered in her ear "it's ok." I could feel as she took a deep breathe and knocked nine times on the door
"Kalie?" Her mother answers with tearing eyes
"Mom... He "
"I-I know." She said reaching for her daughter... What should I do? I slid back into the shadows.
"Who's that?" Her mom pointed her shaking finger at me
"Hi, I'm Carter." I said reach for her hand to shake
"Nice to meet you Carter, I've Heard a little about you."
"Oh really.. Kalie... You've been talking about me??"
"Shut up." She elbowed me in the stomach
"Ouch!"
"I'm sorry." Her bottom lip stuck out
"It's ok." I said kissing her cheek without think her mom is standing right there
"Sorry... Uhh can we come in?" I asked
"Sure." Her mom kept on grinning at me.. I could feel it even when she was in the kitchen...

Kalie pov:

I don't know what happen..
A mental break down?
Fears coming true? I don't know but I was lucky Carter was there to save me.. I just feel bad that he had to cancel our date.. I wonder what he had planned?
"So.. What happen?" My mom said sitting down.. Her eyes kept on glancing over at Carter... Oh god.
"Um well the first time he hit me was, at the condo.. I may have been calling both of you out and he slapped me... Carter came out and help me up." Her smile grew when I said that.. Great.
"Then, the second time was today... He told me that I shouldn't say a word.. I kicked him.. He found me slapped me over and over.. I kneed him in the stomach.. Carter came and saved me again." I looked at Carter as my voice got weaker and weaker as I kept saying his name
"Thank you." I said hugging him
"Well... Rob came back here I helped him out.. But then he told me what happened.. I lost it.. Oh ya that fifth grade project is over there... I may have thrown everything in sight at him..." I laughed.. That clay piece was of a man with a broken arm.
" I don't know if he is calling police or if he is coming....back.." That bitch isn't coming back here.. No way.
"No he wont.. Does he have a key?"
"Yes."
"Change the locks." I said, she nodded her head
"Would you kids like dinner?" I looked at Carter
"Well see un we where-"
"I get it I get it... Go on." She said pushing us out the door
"Call me if he comes back ok?"
"Ok ok now go.. I love you! Be careful!!" She said waving as we hopped in the car. I can't believe I have a relationship with my mom!! Even though it started off because of a stranger I fell for and a Psychopath, it's still a relationship.. One that I have never had with her.

Carter pov:

Finally!!!!!!!!!! I can take her on this date!!!!!! I guess this date is better at night.. ;-)
