(Scott)

"We can't keep her here, Scott.  She isn't a pet, and it is too dangerous for us and for her, especially with the freaking Hunters onto us," Hugh gestured at her still figure lying on the bottom bunk bed in our hidden cabin, which was out in the middle of Eagle's very well-known forest.

"I know that, Hugh," I glared at him from where I sat across from him,"but do you want her to go around blabbing about unnatural giant wolves protecting her?"

"No, but we need a plan on what we are going to tell her when she wakes up," Hugh pointed out, his arms crossed.

"Yea, genius, we got that," Adrian rolled his ice blue eyes, as he pushed off the wall he had been leaning on.  "Does she seem familiar to you?"

Hugh and I looked at each other and at the same time, answered, "No."  Adrian shook his full head of black hair, and he stared down at her.

"Dude, stop staring.  She's not going anywhere," I snap, thinking about her mysterious past.

"What I would love to known," Hugh leaned forward, his elbows on the table before us, "is why a rogue is after her."

"Yea,"I look at her, and sigh,"me too."

"We can't take any chances," Adrian joined the table talk.  They were worried about the Hunters, which was a definite problem.  There are human hunters who hunt birds, deer, and fish.  Flip that coin over, and on the other side was the supernatural hunters, who hunt vampires, witches, and werewolves.  The plus side is that you have to kill an innocent human to be poached by these thugs, who wear all black and a white mask, so you don't even know who they are.  They could be your classmates, your teacher, or they could even be the town council.  Right now,  Adrian, Hugh, and I are having bets on who the Hunters are.  I am betting on the town council,  I mean a lot of backstabbing goes on in politics.  Adrian says the math teacher,  mostly because he hates math.  Hugh says the football team.  Anyways, the Hunters are rumored to shoot silver arrows and carry silver knifes.  They are superb shots and never miss with a knife throw.   Every thing they carry is silver because most supernaturals don't get along with it very well.  Werewolves are especially allergic to it.  We have sever reactions, it makes us weak and delirious, and it burns our skin.

She stirred, and shifted to her side, facing them.  Adrian and Hugh were arguing about her, and I joined in when Hugh remarked about how she was a risk to our safety.  We were so intent in our argument, none of us even noticed that she had awoken to our fight!

(Crystal)

My eyes snapped open, and I shot up, as I remembered the rogue, the three wolves that had protected me, and the blue eyes above me.  I jumped up and bolted for the door, even as a stocky, blonde-haired, blue-eyed guy stepped into my escape exit.  I snatched the hand that was reaching for my forearm and twisted, as I kneed him in his privates.  He cursed, as he fell to his knees, and I leaped over his back.  I ran into the clearing that the cabin was built in, and glanced around.  I made a mad dash onto the worn path that lead into the forest.  I skidded to a stop.  Scott McCall stepped onto the path, brushing leaves off of his leather jacket.  I turned to go back the way I came, when Adrian appeared on the path as well.

"Crystal, calm down," Scott held his hands out at me, in surrender form.  "Please, just calm down, and listen to us."

"No, you're one of them aren't you?" I run my hand through my short hair, as I realized that this might be the end of my freedom.

"One of them? What are you talking about?" Scott's eyes narrowed.

I gasp as I recognize his bright blue eyes.  "You're the black wolf."

"What?" Scott laughs, he fakes his panic well.

"You're a werewolf, "I tilted my head to the side as I smirked.

"I have no idea what your talking about, and werewolves don't exist," he blanched, as he laughed uneasily with Adrian joining in as the blonde guy walked up, limping.

"I'm sorry, by the way," I call out to the guy, "I panicked." The guy flew me the bird and I just laughed.

"Crystal, meet Hugh Jackson," Scott was looking at me weird.

"I know who he is, Scott," I snapped, "I have seen him at school."

"What were you doing in the woods anyway?" Hugh asked, pretending that they had found her in the woods for a walk.  That must had been the plan, but it turns out that I knew they were werewolves, so it didn't matter.

"I wasn't born yesterday," I roll my eyes, and snort, "I know you are all werewolves." Everyone was quiet. "You want to know why a rogue is after me?" I looked around at them, and they nodded. "Because he has been hunting me for a year now."

"Why," Hugh questioned, stepping closer.

"Sorry, that is classified information," I sarcastically replied, "try another one."

"Are you a werewolf?" Hugh snapped, his temper showed.

"Yes, I am," my eyes heated, because he was really starting to agitate me!  What is wrong with this guy, is he trying to tick me off?

"Cool it, guys," Scott stepped between us, "Hugh, lay off." They began to fight again when I heard a small whistle sound coming straight for us.

"Umm, guys," I tug on Scott's jacket, looking in that direction.

"The grown-ups are talking," Hugh had a baby voice.

"Hugh, you are being a jerk," Scott bluntly defends.

I just rolled my eyes, thinking, "boys are such idiots." I lunged in front of them both , knocking them to the side, as a silver arrow flew straight for my chest.

(Scott)

"Crystal! Dang it!" I stood up, looking in her direction. But my anger faded when I saw why she did it.  I froze, petrified at what was before my eyes.  A silver arrow rested near her chest, and she just stood there.  "No," I move in front of her, whispering the whole time, "no, no, no, not her."  My brow furrowed, as I stumble back away from her in complete astonishment.

"No. Freaking. Way," Adrian whisper in awe, standing at my right, and Hugh at my left.

The arrow was two inches from piercing her chest, and her palm was in front of it.  It just hung in mid-air, as her face raised to meet my eyes.  Her yellow eyes filled with horror and fear when she realized what she had just shown us.  She dropped her hand like it was on fire and the arrow fell with it. "Tellies are rare," I breath, staring at the arrow that could have killed her, and felt my eyes heat in anger, as I barked out orders.  "Search the woods, find out who it was, and try to pick up their scent,"  I turned to them, my eyes hard, "Now."  With that one word, Adrian and Hugh scattered like mice getting away from a cat.  I turned my attention on her, "You have a lot of explaining to do."  She swallowed hard.
