(Crystal)

My eyes popped open when the clock struck midnight.  Adrenaline rushed through my body as I gave an angry roar.  I yanked on my wrists and the cuffs snapped.  I didn't even feel my skin burning as I grabbed the silver chains on my ankles and broke them.  I leapt off the table, and easily took down the doctor and his assistants.  I gave a growl and slammed my foot into the heavy steel door.  It flew off its hinges and into another door across the hallway.  I calmly walked out.  The ex-military guys looked at each other and then at me.  My eyes glowed and my face was hard.  My hand were basically black from the silver.  My auburn hair swung freely around my face.  The two guarding the door by me, fired the guns, but I blocked myself with a shield from my mind.   I waved the bullets away and strode over to them.  I yanked their guns from their grip and with my mind, I pushed them through the ceiling.  I slammed my foot into one's throat and hit the other with the palm of my hand.  I broke his nose, while the other passed out from my foot cutting off his air supply.  More soldiers ran down the hallway, saw me, and their buddies on the ground.  One finally threw up his hands and dropped his gun, while the rest of the ex-military guys followed his lead.

"Honestly, we can't stand working for him.  They are so weird," the leader backed away.

"Good statement, now, get out of the building and take your buddies," I ordered, running down the halls, unlocking all of doors with my mind, freeing the captive werewolves.  "Everyone, get out of the building!" I shouted, heading for Gates' office.  The soldiers were all gone so I didn't encounter much resistance, until I reached his office door.  Killian stood in front of it, arms crossed and a grin on his face.  He was dressed in his full battle gear.  Throwing knives, arrows, and guns in their holsters.  "Well, well, well," I drawled.  "I'm surprised someone hasn't killed you yet."

"Well, you're welcome to try," he smirked with a devious smile.

His eyes glinted, and his hands twitched.  In a flash, a knife was whipped at me.  I caught the hilt, whirled and tossed it back at him.  It sank into his shoulder, and he cried out, yanking it free.  He grabbed his bow, notched an arrow, and released. I smiled as I stepped out of the way.  "I think you've lost your touch." I ran at him.  I knocked the dagger from his hand and slammed my knee into his sternum.  I punched him, and he kicked me back, advancing with kicks and punches.  I blocked them countering with throws of my own.  I turned and threw my leg up, catching him in the jaw with my heel.  He stumbled away, bent over.  I went and jumped onto his neck, and twisted to face his scarred head.  "You messed with the wrong werewolf," I growled.  His eyes widened in fear as I twisted back around and with a yell, used all of my body weight to slam him into the floor.  He was knocked unconscious.  I walked to the door, grabbed the  handle, and pulled the door off.  "Oops.  Man, this is a heavy door," I heaved the door to the side.  I really didn't mean to rip the door off the frame.  Carefully, I entered his office.  I did a three-sixty, no soldiers or guards.   He stood with his back to me, facing a window, watching as all of his subjects fled.  "You once said to me that you would be impossible to take down," I paused.  "I just did that.  I freed the subjects, erased your programs, your soldiers are gone, and now it is just you.  You are all that is left of your precious program," I sneered.  A blur, and I was pushed up against the wall, Rowan's hand holding me there by my throat.  The wooden frame behind me, shattered.  I must have looked surprised, because he looked pleased.

"Didn't see that did you, Crystal?" Rowan face was next to mine.  "I have a secret, and you never even saw it."

"You're a vampire," I gasped in horror, as his fangs showed and his eyes turned red.

"Yes, I am, but it was only a recent change," he spoke as he put his mouth to my neck.  "I can feel your pulse, the blood that pumps through your body.  The lust for blood is difficult to control, but I mastered it in a matter of a week."  His fangs scrapped against my neck, and I swallowed hard, my hand reaching for the broken wooden frame, stuck behind my back.

"That is why you were so afraid when you thought I had nipped you," I guessed.

"Yes, and legends state that werewolf bites kill vampires," he laughed, with his red eyes glowing.

"Why did you turn yourself?" I almost had the wooden piece.

"Because I knew I was no match for you and for some reason, you just wouldn't die.  I can't compel you, and I was just human, but now, you are no match for vampire strength," he sneered.

"You have forgotten one tiny, insignificant detail," I smirked.

"What is that?" he turned puzzled.

"There is one night where you are weaker than the wolf," I dropped my smile.

"And what night is that?"

"Tonight.  A full moon," I raised the wooden stake and drove it into his heart from behind.  He gasped, and fell to his knees.  He fell over, his skin gray, turning into stone.  Just like that the strength faded from my body and I stumbled away from Rowan Gates's body.  My knees buckled and I fell to the floor.  I almost passed out, but a dark figure stood over me.  Killian.  I screamed as his dagger came down, headed for my heart.
