Scott shifted his big, hulking frame on the chair that was too small for him and too big for me. "Answer me!" I yelled, my hands slammed down onto the table, making them tense.
"Yes! I think I am gifted or whatever!" Scott's voice boomed in the cabin.
"You either are or you aren't! You can't be 'I think I am!'" I shouted back at him, waving my hands in the air as his eyes lighted with agitation.
"Why are you getting ticked off at me? It's not like I go around practicing it!" Scott defended himself, as Adrian and Hugh looked blown away at his startling confession.
I face the wall and take deep breaths to calm my rising blood pressure, while apologizing, "I'm sorry, I just have a terrible migraine coming on." I rubbed my temples as I turned back to face them, and Scott looked concerned, obviously thinking of the last time I had a migraine. "I'm fine, I should be able to hold it back. Tell me why you believe you're gifted?"
"It happened a year ago, and I freaked out after it happened," Scott explained, running a hand down his tired face. "I was in a wrestling match with a pro, because someone had hooked me up with a fight, but they never told me it was boxing as well, and I didn't know how to box. I wanted to win to say I beat a pro." I scoffed at him. "Yeah, yeah, I'm still a guy. He had me pinned in three minutes, and I wanted to disappear, and I did, the pro looked down and saw no one, and he couldn't see his arm that had me pinned either. But he could feel me, and he still screamed and jumped off of me, and his arm reappeared. I ran out of the ring, pushed my way out of the building and went on the street. It was a couple of hours before people reacted to seeing me."
I gaze at him with interest, "Illusions."
"Excuse me?" Scott inquires, giving me the one eyebrow raised thing.
I don't understand how people do that, I sigh. "Let me spell it out for you. Illusions are likely to be wrongly perceived or interpreted by the senses. They could be deceptive in appearance or impression, or they could be a false idea or belief," I finished, as they stared at me like I was speaking a foreign language. "What?"
"Did you just read that or are you like a dictionary?" Adrian probed, in a weird tone of voice.
"No, I have a photographic memory, so when I read something, I will remember it forever, and I only have to read it once," I tell them.
"I wish I had that for math," Adrian said math like it was a vile word. "This also might be a good time to tell you guys I can control metal."
"Sometime it is a blessing, and sometimes a curse, and why didn't you speak up sooner?" I felt my phone buzz with an incoming text.
We all looked at Hugh, who held his hand up, saying, "Don't look at me like that! I'm just a werewolf!"
"I didn't know if I could trust you," Adrian stared out the window.
"Yeah, I know the feeling," I mumbled as I pulled out my phone, and glanced at the number. Number not known, "Something is not right." I darted to my feet and looked around.

I hesitantly stood, "Crystal? Are you okay?" I touched her bony shoulder, and she jerked away.
"I think they know where I am, and that means they know about you too," she pulled out the phone, rashly opens it and clicks to her new texts. She blanched as she read it.

I read it," Thanks for getting them to admit the that they have talents. It saves them a lot of pain, and they will fit nicely in my new program. You will not get away, Crystal Mason, and it's too bad you got these nice, small-town boys involved in this. You just signed their death papers." My chest seized up, and I felt light-headed and sick, "It's my fault. It is always my fault, and they're going to kill you, to get to me." I staggered away, as the migraine grew to new heights of pain. Not now, I can't deal with this right now, but it continued to grow, and I realized I would have to see it. I was breathing hard, and I felt like was suffocating. I yelped and lurched forward onto my knees, and heard the sound of their chairs screeching back.
