(Crystal)

It was about six months after the fight with Gates and blowing up his building, and it still was talked about everywhere.  After Melanie drove home, I rested and recuperated.  Kira and Victoria popped into the apartment three days later right on time, just like my note said.  Ethan was doing well.  We had enrolled him in a first grade, while I finished up high school with Scott and Adrian at my side and yes, we had moved out of the yucky hood to stay with Vicky Brown, who hired Melanie back as a model.  She also offered me a modeling job, but I declined since my hands were still discolored and I had no idea if they would return to normal.  I always wrapped them before I went out and made up some story, like I burned them or something along the lines of that.

Scott took me on a real date, but nothing can add up to Rowan's ball.  We still had fun at the movies and McDonald's.  Scott and Adrian both worked as a mechanic, while I worked part-time as a librarian.  We still talked about the whole journey to get this life, but if we had to... we would do all over again.

Scott, Adrian and I still questioned who the blue and green eyed girl was, but we had no clue.  We asked around about Talents controlling plants, but we were told that the ability to heal with plants was extinct.  But they did tell us that these people were once called Foresters.  Maybe they were right about that gift being dead, but I was alive because of that "dead" talent.  Scott was still edgy, but he worries over me and my safety.  It's just the werewolf protective streak.

I started taking dance again.  I had a lot to work on, but Scott helped me with partnering and stretches.  Adrian spent time getting to know Ethan, and now they are best friends.  Finally, I have a real life with real family, and I have never been happier.
