"I'm going in alone."

"What?!" Scott growled, his eyes lighted, and he blinked.  The light dimmed in his eyes.

"It's not going to happen, sis," Adrian crossed his arms.

"You are not going in alone," Hugh added.

(Scott)

"Okay," she sat on the bed.  "Skye said he has mind readers or watchers on everything.  So, our plan needs to be fool-proof, which means I'm going to give you an envelope with the date and time on it.  That is when you open it."

Adrian raised his hand, and she sighed.

"What Adrian?" she folded her hands on her top of her lap.  My eyes narrowed on them.  The tips of her fingers were not tan, but grey.  The silver was shutting her system down.  That's why she didn't want me to get close, she already knew what the silver was doing to her system.

"What are watchers?" Adrian asked, his ice blue eyes on her hands as well.   He glanced at me, and I shook my head.

"They are seers, like me, but he forces them to watch everything," she tucked her hands underneath her bum.

"What do you mean?" Hugh leaned against the wall.

"Mind readers are easy, I will be blocking our minds, but it's the watchers who are hard to fool," as she spoke her yellow eyes flared into a glowing yellow, then dimmed.  "So, imagine sitting in a room with a hundred different TVs, playing a hundred different episodes of Vampire Diaries.  You know it's Vampire Diaries, but it is a hundred different scenes.  That's what it's like to be a watcher.  But instead you get a glimpse of a person's future a hundred ways, showing you every possibility."

"So you see everything?" Adrian tried to understand what she was grasping at.

"Yes, and no," she winced.  "The future is constantly changing because of a person's thoughts, ideas, and decisions.  But we don't see everything."

"What does that mean?" Hugh asked, face puzzled.

"I may not see the man lurking in the dark alley the one you pass on the way home. I may not see the drunk driver about to slam into you from behind," she spoke evenly, but her voice was cold and hard.  The boys swallowed hard at the vision she was creating for us to see.  "I may not see that a young boy or girl has an abusive father or a drunken mother.  I don't see the whole picture, I get snapshots, kinda like gifs.  So in order to evade their eyes,  we have to create confusion, chaos, and be the people in the background.  We have to hit this attack with perfect precision.  Whose in?"

"Count me in," I met her intense yellow eyes.

"Yup," Adrian chimed in.

"I'm down," Hugh agreed.

She smiled and led Hugh away, then came back and led Adrian away.  As I watched her walk away with Adrian, I realized how much she had changed.  She is more open, and isn't quite as afraid to show that she cares, but at the same time...I've seen how uncontrollable she can be.  When we first met Kira, she couldn't let her throat go.  When we fought the ex-military men, she moved like a blur, with speed that is characteristic for a werewolf, but this speed was cloaked with a dark mystery.  She is dangerous and her past is dark, but I can't help falling madly and crazily in love with her.

"Here's your instructions," I handed him an envelope.  But as I withdrew my hand, he caught my wrist.

"The silver, it's affecting you isn't it?" his thumb rubbed the inside of my wrist.

"Yea, and I need to know if there is a cure before I can love your best friend," I shocked myself by saying that I loved Scott.  "I love him, Adrian."

"I have always known, but obviously you didn't," Adrian sounded worried.

"I need him to know that I love him, but we are short on time, and in less than thirty minutes Gates will be here.  But I need to talk to him," I was shaky and felt sick.

"I'll go get him," he paused at the door, turned, and held out his arms.  I ran into them.  "I don't want to lose you, sis."

"You won't, even if you tried," I smiled grimly as I pulled back.  "Adrian, I am going to have to break Scott's heart, so I need you to be there for him, and make sure he doesn't do anything he shouldn't."

"I'll be there, don't worry about him. I love you sis," he ran from the room.

"I love you too," I whispered, facing the window as I felt my eyes well with tears.  Gosh, I really didn't want to put him through this, but it had to be done.  I placed my hand on the window.  Scott had made me feel again.  Before I met him, I was so hard and cold to everyone because of everything Rowan had put me through and now I was going to do the same thing to him.  Tears slid down my cheeks, and I angrily wiped them away, as I felt his presence at my back.  This is going to be so hard.  I turned, steeling my feelings from his cornflower blue eyes.   I began to speak.....
