'Esteban !' You yelled in the middle of the garage. The French man looked at you, smiled and opened his arm. You ran through him, wrap your arms around his neck and kissed him on his cheek 'I can't believe it, I am finally here. I waited for this since ages, you had to do your best tomorrow!'. Esteban giggled and kissed you back 'that's why I invited you.'

You and Esteban are friends since few years you were in the same high school in France. When he left he promised to invite you to a race and he did it. 'Can I walk around when you're busy ? I want to see the other cars and tell to everyone that you will be on the podium tomorrow' Esteban's cheeks turn red and he nodded 'you can of course, I am so sorry Y/N I had to go. I will be back in half an hour, I will meet you'

You decided to leave the force India garage to explore the other one. You walked but you didn't know where you will go exactly, you looked attentively around you and you are in the front of the Redbull garage or Toro Rosso you didn't know. You check your phone Esteban will finish in ten minutes he will probably explain you everything. You suddenly felt a hand on your shoulder 'Lost ?' The boy asked you, you smiled and shook your head 'No I am waiting for Esteban so I decided to discover the surroundings'. The bright blue eyes caught mine when he continued 'I think I will never understand him, you can't leave a beautiful girl like you alone'. I shyly smiled at these words 'he doesn't really did it'. 'I am Max Verstappen by the way, you can come to the redbull garage anytime except when I drive obviously'. I nodded at his gently words when a hand wrap my waist, Max's smile disappear when he saw Esteban kissing my cheek 'Finally found you, we should go Y/N'. 'Nice to see you Max we could see us later ! Bye' you said before following Esteban who walked and almost ran in front of you.

'Hey just wait me Esteban !' You shout, your friend didn't change his pace and you had to run to catch him. He didn't look at you and said any word 'What's wrong ?' You asked him. He seems to be upset or even a little bit angry and you didn't understand the reason why. Your friend didn't replied anything, you grab his hand and stopped it in the middle of the road. 'What ?' He said aggressively. Eyebrows and surprised you didn't understand his reaction 'Could you please be less agressive, why do you talk to me like that. I don't understand Esteban.'
He stopped and his face changed he seemed pissed of and now discomfort, it is really awkward. 'I am jealous, you can't see that ?!' He barely said and walked away. You stayed here in the middle of nowhere unable to move, jealous ? About Max ? Probably actually. You're so stupid, you didn't see anything. Maybe he liked you more than you thought and you were blind. You shook your head trying to make your mind less confused.

'Esteban wait !' You said before running after him. 'I am so sorry I didn't want to do that. I didn't understand I don't want to hurt you' you quickly told him. You wasn't sure if the words you choose were the best one, but is there good words in theses situations ? 'No I didn't have to react like that. I am so sorry, you're not even mine. That was stupid.' He replied to you.

This quick talk end up the discussion about that weird moment. Esteban showed you his car and everything they had change after the first free practice, you spoke about usual things and no one talked about what happened. Nevertheless you couldn't forget what he said to you, you couldn't forget your feeling when he put his hand on your waist too. According to you Esteban was only a friend, a good one but just a friend. When he touched you later you felt butterflies in your stomach and when he kissed your cheek you thought about his lips on yours and how would it be. When Esteban appeared in front of you hunt this idea of your mind 'It's time to go, I booked a hotel room for you. Just next to mine' you nodded and said nothing.

During the travel even it was short Esteban noticed you was confused, you usually are joyfull and plenty of energy. He grab your suitcase and put his hand in your lower back when you choose the wrong way 'the other side Y/N'. You had to speak to Esteban about this and you have to understand his previous reaction too. Esteban gave you the key of your room and stood in front of you 'can I talked to you ? About you what you said this morning' you asked him. He bite his lower lips and you saw his face changing you took a step trough him and took his hand. His hand was warm and soft your eyes sank in his and you're heart started to beat faster. You breathing accelerated when you bring his hand to your chest 'Do you feel my heart beating ?' You asked him slowly.

Esteban is not a guy who speak a lot, and one more time he just nodded. 'That's because I realize something, but first you had to tell me what this reaction meant ? Why you were jealous.' You knew it, you had to asked him a lot of questions but you had to be sure...
'Y/N, I was jealous because I don't want to see you with Max instead of me. I have feelings for you and I am so dumb because I didn't tell you sooner' he said while looking at his feet.

That's what you want, exactly what you want to hear from him. You put your finger under his chin to meet his face towards you. Your other hand is still in your when you whispered 'kiss me'.
Esteban took a step towards you and made you closer before catching your lips. That was like you thought, warm, sweet and passionate exactly what Esteban is. Your heart beat faster at every seconds 'You won the race of my heart, you're first'
