Bella's P.O.V

"Remind me again why we have to come?" I ask my brother as we walk down the dirt path to our parents very small cottage looking home. They moved out of the big home we grew up in the moment Emmett and I moved out, saying there wasn't need for so much space just for the two of them.

"Well, every first Wednesday of every month is family dinner night and you need to tell them you're pregnant," he said as he knocked on the door. "No more pulling it off, I gave you a pass at Alice's wedding because it was her big day and you were maid of honor. However, those two lovebirds are on their honeymoon and there's no more excuses."

"Morning sickness?"

He rolls his eyes. "It's 7:15 PM."

"Night sickness then."

"Bella." Emmett leans in to the point our noses touch. "Either you tell them tonight, or I will. Either way, they're gonna have a handful with you tonight."

I groan, which immediately turns into a smile when our parents open the door and great us with a big smile. Our parents are very free spirited, low laying, classy people. They live ten miles outside Seattle basically in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and creepy nature just to feel connected. They don't own a TV or have cellphones so the only other mail they receive apart from their bills is letters from Emmett and I. We are to come over every first Wednesday of every night to check up on them and catch up before going back to letter sending. I am a little scared to tell them, they're old school. They would rather us not loose our virginity until marriage.

Mom likes to brag she's only been with Dad in all her life.

They greet us, hug us and examine us. Literally. They can see something changed but one simple look and I knew judging by the raised eyebrow my mother had when she saw me that she knew something was new with me. Little did she know that something knew was a grandson/daughter. I'm not afraid to tell her, I would rather just tell her. She'll have a more reasonable reaction. The one I'm afraid of is my father... He has a temper.

After our greetings are done and we've taken our shoes off, Mom and Dad lead us to the small dinning room where we are greeted by a very green dinner.

"Wow Mom, you cut the grass again, I see," Emmett joked as Mom served him his bowl of grass or whatever the hell that was.

Mom slapped his shoulder and said, "It's more healthy and organic than those burger places you two frequent with all those chemicals and processing. You might need it more, Bella, I see you put on some weight."

Both Emmett and I choke on our water. He laughs and I just stare at my mother in shock. There's no way I can already be putting on weight!

"I have not!"

Dad points to his cheeks. "Your cheeks are a little fuller."

Emmett is now laughing hysterically. I kick him under the table and that just makes him go crazy. Mom gives him a disapproving look and sits beside Dad on the table.

"Now, Emmett filled us in on his life last week when we were at Alice's wedding, but Darling, you hardly spoke. So tell us, what's new?"

Emmett swallows. "Yeah, Sis, what's new?"

I glare at him and then give a nervous look at my parents. "Well-um, work is great. Working on a new manuscript with Eric, we have a new author which we think will be am amazing addition to out list of writers. Um-no word from Jacob and... Well, um-"

"She's pregnant," Emmett spills out.

Dad laughs. "No, she isn't. Boy, don't joke like that with your father." But Mom doesn't say anything. Our eyes lock and I know she has finally put in an pinpoint on what the hell was new with me.
