Edward's P.O.V

"W-what now?!"

Bella swallows and pulls back slightly. There she stood in a puddle of water. We look at each other for a split second before I sprint to the closet, grabbing our hospital bag, two sweaters and our shoes. Bella is sitting on the edge of the bed and holding onto her belly. Her eyes are wide open and when she looks at me, obviously afraid. I kneel in front of her and put her shoes on and the sweater. I don't bother changing her bottoms she's wearing a dress and it's not wet of any sort. I put her shoes on quickly and my shoes.

"Come on, baby, let's take you to the hospital." I help her to her feet. "Can you walk? Do you want me to carry you?"

"N-no." She looks up at me. "Edward..."

"I know." I hold her hand tightly. "I know. You're gonna be okay. You both are."

"I'm scared..."

I kiss her forehead. "You can do it. You're strong, remember? Ella wants to meet us now."

She let's out a small breath and nods, a way to tell me that she's ready and we walk out of the apartment. I call everyone in a three way call on our way to the hospital. Alice screams and starts telling Jasper to get off his ass because her little niece was about to come into the world. Her words. Emmett also started freaking out, which made both Bella and I laugh. They agree to ride together so I hang up and let them do their arranging. I got better things to worry about.

When we arrive at the hospital, I call a nurse over and get Bella a wheelchair.

"Any contractions yet?" I ask Bella as I help her on the wheelchair.

"No, not ye... oh God, oh God, Edward!" She reaches out and grabs my hands in her. She squeezes them, hard. "Ow, ow, ow. Motherfucker!"

"It's okay, it's okay, breathe through," I encourage her. Bella groans the whole way through until she falls back against the wheelchair. "You okay?"

She glares. "You think?"

I wheel her in. The nurse behind the register smiles at us as we roll in and asks us how can she help us. Really? We're in a fucking hospital. I don't say anything for the sake of not being rude to a woman but Bella lately has been having a small problem holding her tongue.

"Gee, I don't know. I'd like a Big Mac and some fries. I need a room! I'm about to give birth to a fifty pound baby!"

The nurse looks at me.

I smile shyly. "Please?"

Bella cried out, crouching over her belly and her hands squeezing mine. I hold back a grunt and support her as the contraction goes by. Bella falls back on the bed, all sweaty and her hair sticks to the side of her face. Earlier she had me tie her hair in a braid that fell over her left shoulder. Bella tugs my hand, which in the past thirty minutes is a silent order to cuddle with her. She sits up to allow me to situate myself again and when I'm ready, she leans back against my chest and cuddles with me.

The door to our room opens and the people who still had to show up, show up. Alice and Rosalie run to Bella and hug her while Jasper and Emmett awkwardly walk in behind them.

"Oh, how are you Itty Betty?" Emmett asks from the end of the bed and rubs Bella's leg.

"Peachy," Bella answers with a sigh. "I might need a new vagina but no biggie."

Emmett cringed at his sister's words.

"Anyway," she sighs. "I'm only five centimeters dilated. I'll be here for a little longer."
