Bella's P.O.V
It was a normal day at work. I was avoiding Jacob at all costs, more so because I didn't want him to see my necklace. I didn't want anyone to see it, it was too precious and too pretty for anyone to lays eyes on it. So I hid it under my shirt and whenever I was alone in my office, I would occasionally pull it out and play with it with my fingers. It made Edward really happy when I asked him to put the necklace around my neck that Christmas day and I can see the delight in his eyes every time he sees it on me. Who know it was that easy to make that guy so happy, but I simply love this necklace. I also can't help to wonder what will his birthstone be. Will it be May's Emerald? Or June's Alexandrite? Or maybe we could use the Pearl if the baby happens to be a girl!
I sure hope it's May, because I don't plan on being pregnant any longer than I have to.
Unfortunately, with the launch of Eric's new book, the office is going completely nuts, up and down, running from one corner to another, I don't have much time to play with my necklace. Eric is one of our biggest authors, #1 best selling author three times in a row with his outstanding novels. It makes me want to pat myself on the back for tying him down to the company.
We're in Early January, all festivities left behind and I can already feel the weight of all the junk food I ate during November-December. My belly has grown to the point where not even a coat is able to hide it anymore. Now that I'm entering my fifth month, I'm ready to find out whether we're having a boy or a girl. There's a little bet going on in the group. I laugh just remembering it.

Emmett sets the pizza on the table and says, "I have a bet for all of you!"
Edward looks up from his cards. "Now what?"
Emmett places his green five. I grunt and look at my cards. Out of all the colors and numbers, he had to place a green five. I eat two from the pile and place a red five. Edward shoots me a look and I smile.
"Aren't we already betting?" Alice asks without looking away from her cards.
"We're betting against the odds!" Emmett says excitedly. "Bella, are you having a gender reveal party?"
"Duh!" Alice and Rosalie say at the same time.
"Look at that, like synchronized swimmers," Jasper says, placing down an +4. Alice glares at him. "Baby, if you think too much, you'll end up giving Rosalie a headache."
Alice takes four cards. "Why you ask, Emmett?"
"Because, how exciting will it be if we bet on the gender? The odds are Fifty-Fifty. We all set our bets down now, fifty dollars and whoever wins, gets the money."
I think about it. It sounds like fun. "Alright, I'm in."
Edward looks at me. "Really?"
"Yeah. I'm in it for the next four months, I should get something out of it!"
"Cool!" Emmett cheers.
Rosalie sets her card down. "I call it's a girl."
"Girl!" Alice sings.
Jasper shakes his head. "I don't contradict my wife. A girl."
"Boy!" Emmett shouts. "Definitely a boy."
"Girl," Edward says.
I glare at him. "Boy."
